Sun State Riding Academy Shines at IEA National Finals!
What an incredible experience at the IEA National Finals! Our riders brought their A-game, showcasing true talent and sportsmanship against the nation's best.
A huge congratulations to Esmé for her wonderful trip in the Hunt Seat National Finals! Competing against such stiff competition on the national stage is an immense achievement, and we are incredibly proud of her poised and determined rides. Her journey to Nationals was a testament to her dedication, and she truly rode her heart out.
And a massive shout-out to Madison for her outstanding performance in Dressage Seat Equitation! Madison rode beautifully, earning a very respectable score in her ridden test and securing an impressive 5th place finish in her class. Adding to the excitement, Madison's team also placed 7th overall in the nation – a truly phenomenal accomplishment that highlights their collective strength and hard work!
Both Madison and Esmé exemplified the dedication, skill, and grit that Sun State Riding Academy strives to cultivate. We are so proud of their efforts, their sportsmanship, and how beautifully they represented SSRA. Congratulations to both riders on fantastic performances at Nationals!

What an incredible weekend at the Sun State Riding Academy Hunter/Jumper Showcase!
We had a fantastic turnout, beautiful weather, and a whole lot of heart in the arena. Our riders showed off their skills with confidence and courage—and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them!

From leadline to full courses, every round was a chance to shine. Ribbons were earned, champions and reserve champions were crowned, and most importantly—memories were made.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support, cheer, and enjoy some delicious food with us. This community is something special, and we’re so grateful to be part of it.

This Saturday is our first in-house showcase, and you’re invited to come support our incredible riders!

We’ll be highlighting our:
• Jumper Division
• Hunter Division
• Walk-Trot Pole Division

Come out for a fun-filled day of horsemanship, community, and celebration as our riders show off all their hard work and progress!

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at the barn!
Today we celebrate the moms who cheer from the rail, hold the reins (and sometimes the horse), and show up rain or shine with love and encouragement. Whether you’re a barn mom, a horse mom, or both — you’re the heart behind every ride.

Thank you for all you do — we couldn’t do it without you!
Wishing you a day filled with love, laughter, and maybe a little horse time.

**Sun State Riding Academy Show Recap – Four Reel Farm Series**

We’re proud to share the results from our February and March outings at the Four Reel Farm show series, where our riders showed incredible progress and sportsmanship.

**February Highlights:**
Eva and Lily, and Rowan and Sundance made a strong debut moving up from the cross rail to the .65/2' divisions, with Eva earning Champion in the .65m jumpers and both riders placing impressively throughout the weekend.

Saya had her first show with SSRA, competing aboard Cleopatra in the crossrails, showing incredible poise.

Mila moved up from lead line to the walk/trot division and did a fantastic job in her new class.

**March Recap:**
Our show team grew this month, welcoming several new riders to the ring. Cheyenne rode Sundance in the 2’ division in the Main Ring, with beautiful trips all weekend.

Eva (on Lily) and Rowan (on Sundance) continued their momentum in the same .65m/2' division.

Selah piloted Chloe in her first ever horse show competing in the crossrail division earning a first place on her first day. Saya returned on Lily in the crossrails, both riding beautifully, and showing great improvement.

In the walk/trot division, Noelle joined Mila, for her debut in the walk/trot ground pole division. Both riders showed wonderful improvement, with Mila trotting full courses independently and Noelle successfully navigating her courses as well.

We’re incredibly proud of all our riders and can’t wait to hit the road for the next competition in Flagstaff this June!

Sun State Riding Academy is thrilled to celebrate Madison’s incredible achievement—she has officially qualified for IEA Dressage Nationals!

What makes this accomplishment even more impressive? Madison is a dedicated Hunter/Jumper rider who took on the challenge of Dressage just six months ago. Her hard work, adaptability, and determination have led her to this moment, proving that true horsemanship knows no boundaries.

We couldn’t be prouder of you, Maddy! Nationals, here she comes!💗
