As we wrap up another year at Sun State Riding Academy, we want to say thank you to our incredible barn family our riders, parents, staff, and of course our amazing horses. 🐴❤️

This year was filled with growth, learning, hard work, and unforgettable moments in and out of the saddle. We’re so grateful for every lesson ridden, every goal reached, and every memory made together.

As we head into the new year, we’re excited for what’s ahead new goals, new milestones, and continued horsemanship rooted in patience, dedication, and heart.

Wishing everyone a safe, joyful New Year’s Eve and a 2026 filled with blessings, progress, and time spent doing what we love most. ✨

🐴✨ Exciting News from One of Our Own! ✨📖

We are so excited to share that Jackie has officially published her book! 🎉

If you’ve spent any time around the barn, you probably already know Fiona — she’s not just a character, she’s a familiar face and a beloved part of barn life for so many of us.

Jackie has a beautiful way of capturing the heart of the horse–human connection, and for those who know Fiona personally, this story feels even more special. It’s a wonderful reminder of the lessons, emotions, and bonds that horses bring into our lives.

Sun State Riding Academy will be on quarterly break from December 29 – January 4. Lessons will resume on January 5.

🎃🐴 Spooky Saddle Fun at SSRA! 👻🕸️

Halloween falls on a Friday this year, and we’re getting into the spirit — barn style! 🎃

Riders are welcome to come in costume for their lesson, but please remember:
⚠️ Safety first! No flowy fabrics, capes, or masks — and helmets are still required.
We want everyone to have fun and keep our horses feeling calm and confident! 🐎💚

Our instructors have planned a special Halloween course with fun arena games and a festive twist for all our riders! 🎃🍬

So get creative, stay safe, and come ready for some spook-tacular fun in the saddle! 🐴✨

Quarterly Horse Break Week 🐎💛

It’s that time again — our amazing lesson horses are getting their much-deserved quarterly rest week from October 20–26!

There will be no lessons during this time as we allow our horses to relax, recover, and recharge both physically and mentally. Regular breaks help keep our horses happy, healthy, and ready to give their best when lessons resume.

Monday, October 27.

🌟 Showcase Day at Sun State Riding Academy! 🌟

We’re busy setting up and getting ready for a fun-filled day here at SSRA! 🎪🐴
Our riders have been working hard, and today’s the day they get to show off their skills in our in-house showcase. From first-time trotters to confident jumpers, we’re so proud of how far each student has come! 💪💖
