The legendary Home Ranch, historically run as a guest ranch, is now a private working cattle ranch and horse training facility and is CURRENTLY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC. Located 17 miles from Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the ranch is based in the heart of Elk River Valley, beside the banks of the wild and scenic Elk River, with the storybook crest of Hahn’s Peak to the North, the majestic peaks of the

Mount Zirkel Wilderness to the East, and the purple mountain majesty of the Sand Mountains to its West. The ranch is currently undergoing a soulful and inspiring revival.

Our Story

This all-inclusive, upmarket lodge in Colorado's Elk River Valley is 40 miles from Yampa Valley Regional Airport and 8 miles from Pearl Lake State Park. An airport shuttle, parking and all meals made with produce from the on-site garden are included. Activities include fishing, horseback riding and cross-country skiing, as well as instruction. We are currently closed for renovations. Please follow us as we enter our next chapter.
