Well yes I turned 72 a few days back....so...a belated Thank You to all my friends that came on here and wished me a Happy Birthday. It's like this....when I was 20 and thinking about how my life would be at age 70 ( if I lived that long) and beyond it's like this....I have more friends than I thought I would have...I am healthier than I thought I would be....I am busier than I thought I would be...I am happier than I thought I would be...I have less money than I thought I would have. So 4 out of 5 ain't bad. I give thanks to the Creator daily.

This was Day 13. Haltering and Leading without food reward. Mojave Pearl is doing awesome. Makes me look a "Mustang Whisperer".

Day 2 Working with the "Wild" Mustang...I think this is Amazing...with patience and no pressure she is now eating out of my hand. And coming up to me and touching me. I can still only slip a lite touch other than she nuzzling my hand. But I believe this is at least a week ahead of predictions. Blessed to have this animal .

"Pearl" Day 1: We spent most of Saturday just setting and watching her interaction and reactions to her surroundings. It was a lot for any new horse to take in let alone a Wild Mustang. She did amazing. There were sheep came up to the fence. We had small Dexter Cows in the paddock next to hers. Our Fell Pony Paladin was in the Paddock two over from hers where she could see him but not get close to him till we see how they interact. She took all this in without much excitement and certainly no panic. When we turned the cows out for the day she actually tuckered after them.Good sign bonding up with animals she will be around on the Homestead. She did almost no squeezing or nickering and showed no indication of herd separation anxiety. She is in a run off the barn which has her 12X12 stall she can enter from outside. There is a chain link door from the stall into the barn alley she can see thru. She was going in and out of the stall very calmly with no panic flight. This is very unusual for a wild horse to go into a small space they don't know they can get out of. I was planning on this taking 5 days or so to get her coming inside by moving her feed. So she is ahead of schedule on this. She got to where she would come into the stall with us sitting in front of the door eat a bite the go outside and come back in. We are letting her choose when to come and go with no pressure from us. She even let me get inside the stall with her without bolting for the exit. Amazing.

Adams Mustang Reveal Patricia McPherson Adams and myself Win Adams have adopted a BLM Wild Mustang. We will be sharing daily progress in our efforts to "Reveal" the character and abilities of this beautiful animal and help her transition from the Nevada Range to our Family Homestead. We plan to work and progress at a comfortable rate for both us and the Mustang. We adopted her from the BLM Event in Kellyville Oklahoma in May 19th Friday 2023. We will call this post Dairy Day 0. This is a picture of "Mojave Pearl" her new name. She is a 4 yo Maiden mare from the Nevada Range. She was unloaded by us into her Paddock/Run about 230pm on Saturday Day 0. She unloaded very calmly and without much excitement....which was a good thing. This was Patricias first choice from the several head available on Friday. And yes more than one person wanted her....so...when that happens they bid till the highest bidder wins. And certainly she was the highest bid of Fridays offering. Patricia don't pick No Trash. We will post daily of our transition as we each bond to each other.
