There’s nothing better than watching someone try reining for the first time! 🤩🐴Welcoming people into our sport is one of our favorite things we do at Double Ott Ranch! If you’ve been curious about reining or wanting to take that first lesson, we’d be happy to get you started—and for those ready to step into the show pen we would love to help you find your perfect partner or talk about our leasing opportunities!
We offer both reining and ranch riding lessons for all levels and ages, with your horse or one of ours.

This is my friend Patrick. We’ve never met in real life but we are friends just the same. Patrick is a police officer in New York and has become a fan of reining through watching The Last Cowboy. A month or so ago he reached out to me via a telephone call and we got to know each other and just had “the best visit”
I called my northeastern envoy Michelle Dupuis for a little direction in helping Patrick get his feet wet and of course she delivered with contacts and suggestions. Well today Patrick had his first reining lesson with nrha professional Bill Bowen and he couldnt be happier! I love to see our sport grow and the confidence of knowing we have great professionals, horses and non pros at every level willing to help along the way. Next on the list is a pair of good cowboy boots! Welcome aboard Patrick! You’re a reiner now!

Our summer help is back to school and we are looking for some reliable, hard-working help! Main duties include 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. Other opportunities available for the right candidates!

📅 Part-time to start — with potential to grow into full-time in the future.
🤝 We’re also open to 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, trading barn work for riding lessons for those looking to further themselves in the sport.

We are SO proud of these two showing in their very first NRHA - National Reining Horse Association Short Stirrup Reining class at the The Homecoming Reining Series show! Kaylynn and Kylee are studying their video runs (thank you Timeless Photography, Madison, Ohio!) and are ready to get back at it again tomorrow!
