Truthfully, I thought my next chapter would look very different.

I had already started planning the leap into building something on my own, and one of my first calls was to EquiVet — originally just looking for collaboration and support along the way.

But somewhere in those conversations, the opportunity became something much bigger.

What started as a simple idea quickly turned into a shared vision for growth, great medicine, and the future I want to build in equine practice.

More than anything, I found a place that made me feel valued, supported, and excited about my future again.

So officially — I’m incredibly excited to announce that I’m joining EQuiVet.

Funny how sometimes the path you planned changes completely… and somehow ends up even better than you imagined. ✨

Internal competition can quietly destroy a clinic culture faster than people realize.

Vet med is already exhausting enough without coworkers feeling like they have to compete for value, recognition, opportunities, or belonging.

The healthiest teams are the ones where knowledge is shared, wins are celebrated, and people want each other to succeed. Good medicine depends on strong teams, not internal rivalry.

Especially for new grads - This might not be on your list to investigate, but it needs to be. It's easy to promise mentorship but also easy to limit your growth.

There are so many reasons for this statistic. No shame to those who have become part of it and left, proud of you for doing what's best for you, because that is all that matters. 🤍

Those of you still in it - hell yeah 💪🏼 it ain't easy. Those of you owning clinics that have made changes to support associates and keep them in it - the biggest hell yeah!
