The Bark Klub

Dogs have always been my first love. My childhood was filled with dogs – the strays in the neighborhood, pets that belonged to friends & family and finally my first two pups – Bruno & Dexter. I have always loved everything about dogs - their companionship & unconditional love, their unwavering loyalty and their willingness to be partners in many an adventure. Someone rightly said “ Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole”. My life today revolves around that first love – my husband is a dog lover himself and our 2 year old looks up to our 9 year old lab as his older brother and Neo, our lab, has been a part of every adventure of ours – marriage, a move to the US, growing our family, moving again to Singapore and I am sure he will star in more adventures to come.

Becoming a canine coach was probably destiny but one I had never considered for a long time. A move away from the corporate sector coupled with some free time while I was living in Cincinnati led me to rethink my life’s purpose. And I was deeply motivated by the prospect of working full time with dogs and helping them and their human partners build their very best relationship together. I was lucky to learn from a true master in the field – Scott Nordgren of Pet Athletic Club in Cincinnati opened my eyes to the intricacies & nuances of the human-canine relationship and after a year of learning from him I embarked upon my own journey with The Bark Klub in 2017.

Dog training is 70 percent educational, 20 percent technique and 10 percent the dog. A well trained canine companion is really the result of an educated & comprehensive lifestyle choice rather than the result of an ad-hoc approach to resolving issues. Often people have clarity on what they don’t expect their dog to do, while their dog is expecting clarity on what to do. My goal is to bridge that expectation gap and help you and your canine realize the full potential of your relationship together.
