✨NALA is looking for an adventure buddy! After exploring Sharon Woods, Nala is ready to discover her forever home!

🎂 1 year and 11 months

🧬 Mixed Large Breed | Over 44lbs

✅ UTD on shots, spayed

⚡️ Medium to High Energy- Nala loves playing and adores stuffies! She makes an excellent hiking buddy but knows when it’s time to settle down!

🐾 DOG FRIENDLY- Nala excelled in a dog daycare environment while being fostered by me last year and our 20lb dog loved her! She is a playgroup rockstar and a greeter dog for new intakes!

📍Nala would do best in a home with no children. However, she would love a canine companion! It is highly recommended to bring all other dogs from the home for a meet and greet with Nala!

From being tied up outside every day for the first year of her life to being in the shelter since October, Nala is so eager to get out. Every day she spends in the shelter brings more challenges for her. Upon adopting Nala it is incredibly important to show her grace, she deserves it! 🩵Dog of the Day with SPCA Cincinnati!🩵

Meet Winny! This mellow and sweet girl arrived to the shelter from a hoarding situation with numerous other dogs. At first she can be shy and a bit hesitant, but with patience and kindness she will totally transform into a new pup!

🎂 1 Year and 4 months

🧬 Mixed Breed | Medium Size (Up to 44lbs)

🐾 DOG FRIENDLY- Other dogs have been a huge help when it comes to growing Winny’s confidence. Winny would do well in a home with other dogs!

⚡️Medium to High Energy- Winny does play more gentle but when she’s with the right group of dogs she comes out of her shell! Winny would do well in a home with a casual or active lifestyle!

💟 Winny is gaining confidence and trust every day! It’s important to give her kindness and space as she adjusts into a home life, especially given her background.

💟 Some of Winny’s favorite pups include, Caico, Ava, Tiger, Carl and her brand new friend- Baylynn!

💟 During play, Winny loves to get vocal and gets so excited! She also loves to sunbathe and watch her friends play!

It is recommended that anyone with dogs or children in the home bring them for a meet and greet with Winny! While this girl has come from a really rough past, we know she can thrive with the help of someone who can show her trust and the attention she so deserves. ✨Pet Spotlight✨

Peanut and Piper had so much fun while their family was away! They loved spending time playing over their favorite toys, racing the neighbor pup back and forth and stealing all of my blankets! These crazy and sweet pups always keep things interesting- and I wouldn’t want it any other way! 🩵

Meet Holly! At first glance, Holly is a little shy - the world is big and she likes to take it in at her own pace. But give her a few days, a soft bed, and a pocket full of treats, and you'll see her true personality unfold!

🧬 Mixed Breed | Large Size (Over 44lbs)

🐾 DOG FRIENDLY- Holly does well at playgroup in the shelter and would fit in with a home with other pups. She takes corrections well from other dogs!

⚡️High Energy- Holly is playful and social. Holly has a good recall and loves playing fetch!

🍀 One of Hollys favorite things are stuffed toys, and she carries them around like they are her prized treasures!

🍀 After playing and getting her zoomies out, Holly loves to cuddle up in a dog bed! This girl is the best mix of playful and cuddly!

🍀 Holly is treat motivated! Once she understands that she can trust you, you become her person!

Holly is playful, affectionate, and would thrive in a home that lets her settle in gently, build confidence, and maybe even have another friendly dog to show her the ropes. This weekend Iris had so much fun while her parents were away! Iris enjoyed watching the birds from her windowsill, playing with her current favorite toy- a twist tie, and hiding and seeking in the curtains! This sweet girl is always so much fun and I can’t wait to see her again!🩵

🐾 DOG FRIENDLY- Sugar loves playgroup at the shelter! If you have a dog at home make sure to bring them in for a meet and greet.

⚡️ High Energy- Sugar would benefit with a dog who is patient and properly correct her behavior during play. She would benefit in a home who can provide her with exercise and playtime.

🍬 Sugar has her own social circle at playgroup, including Holly, Caico, Lola, Carl and Kian!!

🍬 Sugar did well with her owners grandchildren and other dog! It is recommended to bring any children in for a meet and greet with Sugar!

🍬 One of Sugars favorite things to do is to have something to chew on, and she likes to playfully chew whatever she finds, so it's best to have a variety of toys for her to keep busy!

Sugar can be quite nervous at first, especially around strangers, so anyone who meets her for the first time should be prepared to take it easy and give her time to go up, check them out, and let her make the calls for pets and belly rubs! Meet Kian! This beautiful boy recently arrived from another shelter and is ready to find his forever home. Kian has a friendly, easygoing personality and has shown that he does well with other dogs, making him a great candidate for a canine companion or dog-savvy home!

🐾 DOG FRIENDLY! Kian excels in playgroup, making him a great choice for dog daycare or having a canine companion at home.

❇️ Kian is SMART! With the right people and training, Kian will settle right in and continue to learn house rules.

While the shelter is learning how he feels about children, his social and gentle nature so far has been very promising. Meet Caico! A playful and silly Potcake puppy all the way from St. Lucia! At first, he can seem timid, but opens up and shows his true personality with some treats and gentle greeting.

🎂 10 months, 9 days | 36lbs

✅ Healthy, UTD on shots and neutered

🧬 Royal Bahamian Potcake Mix

🐾 DOG FRIENDLY- playgroup rockstar!

🔅 Has lived with a smaller and larger dog and did well- needs fed separately as he is protective over his food. (Most likely due to his time in the streets)

🔅Very silly personality and loves playing with stuffed animals!

🔅A total cuddle bug!

Caico can be sensitive to sudden changes and loud noises, and has poor depth perception due to only having one eye, so he would do best in a home with folks who have plenty of time to spend working with him to help him grow his confidence. If you are interested in Caico and would like to meet him, he is available at SPCA Cincinnati in Sharonville!

We have learned so much about ✨NALA✨and here’s what we have to tell you about this sweet, playful girl!

🎂1 YEAR AND 6 MONTHS.

🚙CAR RIDE APPROVED- Hops up and over into the seat, and rests during the drive. Now waits for you to get her from the back rather than moving to the front!

🐾DOG FRIENDLY- Nala excels in a daycare environment (special thanks to Woofs and Wags Doggy Day Care) with dogs of all temperament and sizing. She does phenomenal with our small dog. Nala had a sister but her sister was adopted without her.

⚡️MEDIUM-HIGH ENERGY- Nala loves playing and would do so well in a home with people who want to play with her. A yard would be perfect for her but daily exercise and daycare time would be just as effective! She does know when bedtime is and loves snuggling with you during downtime.

🦴POLITE AND GENTLE- Nala is shy and softly mannered. She wants nothing more than to please and be with you. Nala is very smart and continues to surprise us with what she learns every day.

💊MEDICATION- Nala is currently on medication due to her anxiety from being in the shelter. The shelter life is not good for Nala and upon being adopted it’s very important to remember she needs time to work on her anxiety and fear. Give Nala grace, she deserves it.
