🐾 National Check The Chip Day - August 15th 🐾

Did you know August 15th is National Check The Chip Day? This special day is all about reminding pet parents to keep their furry friends safe by making sure their microchip information is accurate and up-to-date.

Why does it matter? Microchips are a tiny but powerful tool that help reunite lost pets with their families. Unlike collars and tags, microchips can't be lost or removed, but they only work if the contact information linked to them is current. Pets with updated microchips have a much higher chance of coming home safely if they ever wander off.

How can you observe this important day?

If your pet isn’t microchipped yet, schedule an appointment to get them microchipped—it’s quick and painless!

Already chipped? Take a few minutes to check and update your contact info in the microchip database.

Ask your vet to scan your pet’s microchip during their next visit to make sure it’s working properly.
