It’s LITERALLY FREEZING 🥶 please make sure you are taking care of your dog appropriately during this freeze. Do not leave them outside for long periods of time, get a dog blanket ( I recommend I’ve been buying dog blankets from them for years and my horse blankets), WATER THE DOG, make sure we are not going hot house cold outside a ton, keep them warm please. If you go for a walkies PUT BOOTS ON!

His momma rides horses so it’s imperative he is well versed and not reactive around horses and other animals. Keeping a dog calm around other animals isn’t something people usually think about when training. Working around other dogs, yes but teaching a dog to be well behaved around a lot of different prey animals keeps them well rounded

When I say down stay I mean dog in a down. Dog stays I go. That’s how stay should be used. You stay I go. Strong stays like Obi’s I should be able to walk up and down this aisle to the cart and back as many times as I want and not repeating stay over and over. Stay is said 1 time. That’s it, I don’t repeat myself. That’s a solid stay. I stood in that aisle for probably a good 15 mins making y’all videos and shopping for more shampoo, sprays etc for my house walking to and from the cart. This is a practical stay. This is the stay I put on for my clients. If I need the command stay it’s probably because I’m shopping in an aisle and it’s easier to leave doggie there while I walk back and forth to get stuff I need.

Side note my tractor supply thank y’all I know I should basically be an employee at this point with how often I frequent y’all but I appreciate y’all’s customer service and how great you are every time I come in. Plus makes me feel fancy y’all know me by name 🤣

As much as it pains me to see scouty having to go back for more test because I know she doesn’t love the IV which is always scary for a kid seeing Pua out in the world doing his job and bringing her safety and comfort is what I LIVE for. Pua I trained for scout as her Wish from Make a wish. 🥹 I love watching these dogs and kids grow up and seeing them get to have that best friend that’s always there, no judgement nothing but pure love 🥰

Dogs usually have an audience when they are working on off leash skills 😂 the horses like to watch the dogs during their training which I always find hilarious because they have to go out of there way to walk up to the training area to watch 😂

If you didn’t know Pug dogs were bred to be companion dogs. They are a Chinese bred dog and typically I will tell most people to stay away from Chinese and Japanese bred dogs however the pug dog is the exception. They were bred to be companions to royalty 👸🏼

My kids have been begggging for a little dog since the others in my pack are well HUGE.

So I have now granted their wish with this little man. Pugs are not only great dogs for kids, but they also are a really awesome choice for first time dog owners.

If you have any tension in the leash your dog doesn’t have a proper heel.

Over the years I’ve been called out many times for just some brush up obedience and the amount of times someone will tell me their dog walks beautifully on a leash and I see their arm straining makes me cringe honestly.

Obi has a perfect heel in this video.

ANY DOG CAN HAVE THIS PERFECT OF A HEEL.
