Following the examples of the 2006 Day Without Immigrants, Black-led corporate campaigns that have unseated CEOs, and Minnesota’s resistance to occupation, thousands of organizations across the country are calling for a day of “No School, No Work, No Shopping” to disrupt the violent billionaire takeover of our country and to put working families first. Because when the billionaires break every rule, it’s going to take more than a rally to stop them. Together we show where real power lives in this country: with workers, not billionaires.

Did you know that, historically, only 4️⃣0️⃣% of eligible voters vote in Midterm Elections? 😱 Did you also know that Midterm Elections are JUST as important, arguably more important, than the Presidential Election? Midterm Elections determine who will represent YOU at the local and state levels AND which party will control the House of Representatives and the Senate. Because Midterm Elections are in the middle of a Presidental term, voters are empowered to voice their approval or dismay with the way the current administration is governing and how your representatives work (or do not work) together.

This Midterm Election may be the most important Midterm of your life. It is critical that We The People use our vote to SCREAM our dismay and flip the House & Senate. 🍊🤡 cannot continue his fascist agenda if the House & Senate is run by the Democrats. While that does not fix everything and we SHOULD NOT be waiting until the Midterm Election to act - make plans NOW to educate yourself on WHO is running.

But don't stop there. You need to find out what platforms they are running on. What they care about. How they will help your community. If they are running for re-election, research how they have historically voted on various legislations and WHO funds their campaign. Grassroots? 😃 AIPAC, Big Corporations, Billionaires 🤮 FOLLOW THE 💰💰💰That will tell you more about a politician that anything else will. That being said, we NEED to clean house! Too many representatives have made false promises or voted against the platforms they ran on. Remember, they work for us! They represent US. If they are in politics to get rich, then they cannot be in office. Full stop.

Please start the work NOW. Register to VOTE! If you are already registered, double check your registration to make sure you are (still) registered and WHERE you vote! We CANNOT wait until November 2nd to start our research, it is far too important this year. You can visit vote.org to check your status, vote, find out who is running, and more!

Anyone else having a hard time being an informed and functional adult in this timeline? It can't just be me. The burnout and mental fatigue is so freaking real right now.

Did you know you can call representatives other than yours? Oh yeah. Call the s**theads that are/are protecting the PDFs, funding 🧊 to terrorize our black and brown neighbors, sending our children to wars they don't understand or have any business being part of, using our tax dollars to fund gen0 c1de, the list goes on. Call em. Raise hell. Don't be polite. We are way past polite at this point.

Just an update and clarification on donations. I will continue to donate 10% of my sales to communities affected by 🧊 However, I will be focusing on communities nationwide vs keeping donations in a single community. The impact has never been in one specific area but I choose to focus on Minnesota when I first launched this because they were so deeply impacted at the time. Occupation in Minnesota has not ended but there are other areas, for instance the children in Dilley, that need support as well.

Bags of crunchies from the Barktivist Collection carry an additional donation of $3 per 6oz bag and $1 per 2oz bag. Each bag carries a different donation, always relevant to the theme of the bag. If you have any questions about organizations that I donate to or would like to suggest an organization, please don't hesitate to ask!

Remember, we are all in this together. Building and supporting our impacted communities is how we survive this reign of terror.

Today is Trans Day of Visability and let's be honest, Trans Folx deserve a whole helluva lot more than just visibility. Trans Folx deserve to be seen, validated, and protected. Trans Folx are some of the bravest, resilient, and incredible people I've ever met. They show up authentically, as their truest self daily, despite the unprecedented levels of hate and daily attacks on their lives and rights. At Leia's Treats, I see you, I hear you, I love you, and will continue to fight for you. Respecting your Transgender neighbors by acknowledging their existence and that they deserve basic human rights takes nothing away from you. Be a good human and be on the correct side of history 💙🤍💗🏳️‍⚧️
