We are a No KILL non-profit dog shelter and sanctuary in the Tidewater Virginia area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Bully breeds.

Dogs that are not adopted are given sanctuary for the rest of their lives.

So for my birthday today, Carla and I went to Culpeper. What's a trip to Culpeper without a stop at the animal shelter?
This beautiful dog is there now. Her name is Lily. Seems young and is learning that humans are pretty cool. She is completely vetted.
Can anyone foster her? Remember fostering is free!!

Hi friends! It's been a while since we asked for help.
We really need dog food and donations for heartworm and flea preventative.
I know that we aren't the only ones struggling and I really hate to ask for help.
We use Purina One Chicken and rice or Purina Dog Chow, chicken flavor.
We can also use Purina One or Tractor Supply brand canned food

Last night our sweet Willow crossed the. Rainbow Bridge. Rescued from Culpeper, she was an overbred momma who had clearly had multiple litters.
She seemed fine until she collapsed by the water bowl. We transported her to the Animal Emergency Center where the amazing Dr. McNulty discovered that Willow was in congestive heart failure. It happened so fast. While on oxygen, she was able to relax. It was them that we decided to let her go.
Carla and I were with her to the end.
She was such a wonderful pup and we will miss her.

We met a lot of amazing people at Paws at the River in Yorktown.
And....drumroll please, Kai and Lily found forever homes. We are so thankful for the families who chose adoption!
