An Update From Kendra ❤️🙏

I’m finally recovered from my procedure. Now we are just waiting on the results. I should hopefully have them Monday or Tuesday.

I’m not going to lie—the stress, worry, and not knowing what is going on has been really hard. I could definitely use everyone’s prayers as we wait for some answers. 🙏❤️

I go back to the doctor Thursday to go over everything, and I will be able to update everyone after my appointment with the results and what the next step will be.

I want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has continued to pray for me, sent me messages, checked on me, stopped by my house, and offered to help. Every single act of kindness has meant more to me than you know.

A very special thank you to my parents for helping with Aspyn and helping me get through all of this. I truly couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️

And to everyone who has donated to A to Z Rescue and helped with all of our fur babies—THANK YOU! 🐾❤️ You have helped take some of the weight off my shoulders while I’ve been recovering.

A HUGE thank you to Erik and Steven, who have been here helping with the rescue every single day. They have helped feed, water, clean, and take care of over 100 animals every day. Anytime I have needed something, they have been right here helping me every step of the way. I am beyond grateful for both of you!

This has been a difficult time, but knowing I have so many amazing people standing beside me makes it a little easier.

Please continue to keep me in your prayers over the next few days. 🙏 I’ll update everyone Thursday after my appointment and let you know what the results are and what comes next.

🐰 FOUND BUNNY — CHURCH HILL/CARTERS VALLEY AREA 🐰

We were asked today to help a bunny who was found free-roaming near Carters Valley in Church Hill.

This sweet baby is now safe in our care. ❤️ We will be posting before-and-after pictures showing the severe matting he had when he was found.

If you or anyone you know has lost a bunny in the Carters Valley/Church Hill area, please reach out to us. We want to give his family the opportunity to bring him home. 🐰🏠

If nobody claims this baby, he will be available for adoption after he receives the proper veterinary care and is fully ready for a new home.

As most of you know, the founder of A to Z Rescue, Kendra, will be having a procedure tomorrow(lung biopsy)❤️

She will be stepping away from the Rescue phones and messages for the next couple of days to rest and recover.

If you have an emergency or absolutely need to reach her, please send a message or text, and she will get back to you as soon as she is able.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding, patience, prayers, and support during this time. Please keep Kendra in your prayers as she goes through her procedure and recovery. 🙏❤️

Thank you to every single person who has donated to the Rescue over the past couple of days. Every donation, no matter the size, has been noticed and is deeply appreciated.

We are so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you in this community who has stepped up for these animals. Without you, what we do would not be possible. 🐾❤️

Today, a wonderful couple stopped by the Rescue to drop off some much-needed donations, along with a very generous cash donation. I’m not going to lie… it touched my heart deeply, and I may have come inside and shed a few tears. 🥹❤️

Moments like this remind me just how amazing the community behind us truly is. When things get overwhelming and the need seems endless, people step up and remind us that we are not doing this alone.

❤️ Sometimes the Lord puts you exactly where you’re needed. ❤️

Walking into this rescue situation on Friday was heartbreaking, sad, and honestly very difficult. As many of you know, I have had A to Z Rescue closed due to my health while I try to figure out what adventure the Lord has placed in front of me next.

But when Hawkins County Shelter put out the call for help with this situation, the Lord laid it on my heart to go. I knew I needed to be there, and I am so thankful that I listened.

We brought 20+ dogs back to the rescue who truly needed help. These babies now have a safe place to land, where they can decompress, receive the love and care they deserve, get healthy, and get fully vetted before we begin looking for their forever homes. ❤️🐾

Every single one of them deserves a chance. They deserve to know what love, safety, a full belly, and a soft place to sleep feel like. And that is exactly what we are going to give them.

These babies will be available for adoption once they are ready, and we are also looking for fosters! If you are interested in fostering, please reach out to us by phone or message. We will have you complete our foster application and then work with you to find the right fit.

🐾 UPDATE ON TODAY’S RESCUE IN HAWKINS COUNTY 🐾

Today was a long, rough, heartbreaking day for everyone involved. 💔

Over 65 dogs were rescued from horrific living conditions, along with an unknown number of cats and kittens. Some were starving, some were in desperate need of medical care, and some were even in active labor.

But tonight, these babies are SAFE. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to all of the shelter staff, volunteers, Mt. Carmel Police officers, and every single person who showed up to help these animals today. It truly took a community to make this happen.

We also want to send prayers to the woman who was found unresponsive and transported to the hospital. 🙏❤️

PLEASE, SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR ANIMALS!
There are simply too many unwanted animals suffering because of overpopulation. This is exactly why spaying and neutering is so important.

🐶 A to Z Rescue took in:
• 4 mommas
• 16 puppies
• 2 additional adult dogs

That’s 22 new lives now depending on us.

This is a HUGE amount for our rescue to take on at one time. We know we have a lot on our plate, but there was no way we could turn our backs on these babies and leave them in those conditions.

Now they need us. ❤️

We will need food, puppy supplies, bedding, cleaning supplies, and help with veterinary care as we get everyone settled, checked out, and cared for.

I know we have an amazing community behind us, and I’m asking you all to please help me/us help these babies. Even a small donation or a bag of supplies can make a HUGE difference. 🐾

Sometimes rescue finds you when you least expect it. ❤️

Last week, a friend brought over some much-needed supplies, and as they were unloading, this tiny little guy came crawling out from underneath the truck. We searched everywhere for his family, asked around the neighborhood, and checked with everyone nearby, but no one recognizes him or has ever seen him before.

Since no owner has come forward, this sweet little kitten will be heading to the vet next week to get checked over, vaccinated, and receive the care he needs. Once he’s ready, he’ll be looking for his forever home.

We will also have several adorable, fuzzy kittens available for adoption next week! If you’ve been thinking about adding a new furry family member, keep an eye on our page for updates.
