Healthy portions can be surprisingly easy to underestimate. Measuring meals, accounting for treats, and regularly monitoring your pet's body condition can make a big difference over time.

If your pet needs to gain or lose weight, avoid making drastic dietary changes without veterinary guidance. We can help determine an appropriate calorie intake based on their individual needs.

Call (619) 476-0053 for help developing a healthy weight plan.

Knocking things off the counter may look like mischief, but cats often use their paws to investigate objects and learn about their environment. Providing toys, climbing spaces, scratching areas, and interactive play can give that curious brain plenty to do. For questions about your cat’s behavior or wellness, call (619) 476-0053.

A dog's nose can go from wet to dry throughout the day for perfectly normal reasons, including sleeping, weather, activity, and hydration.

Instead of judging health by nose moisture alone, watch your dog's overall behavior and symptoms.

If a dry nose is accompanied by lethargy, appetite changes, vomiting, discharge, cracking, sores, or other concerns, call (619) 476-0053.

Sometimes gradual weight gain is hard to notice when you see your pet every day.

A healthy body condition involves more than the number on the scale. Your veterinarian can evaluate your pet's ribs, waist, body shape, muscle condition, age, and lifestyle to determine an appropriate weight range.

Wondering where your pet falls? Call (619) 476-0053 to schedule a wellness visit.

Dogs don't always show stress by barking or trying to escape. Their signals can be much more subtle.

Repeated yawning, lip licking, turning away, trembling, tucked tails, flattened ears, or suddenly refusing treats may all be ways your dog is communicating discomfort.

Learning to recognize those early signals allows us to make experiences more comfortable. Have concerns about your dog's behavior or anxiety? Call (619) 476-0053.

Cats may be more independent in some ways, but they still need plenty of care and enrichment. Playtime, scratching opportunities, clean litter boxes, appropriate nutrition, dental care, and routine veterinary visits all contribute to a healthy life. Team cat, team dog, or team both? For pet care questions, call (619) 476-0053.

Dogs communicate constantly through body language. Tail position, ears, posture, facial expressions, vocalizations, and even how they move can give us clues about whether they’re relaxed, excited, nervous, or uncomfortable. Learning to recognize those signals can help you better understand your dog. Questions about a behavior change? Call (619) 476-0053.

Brushing at home is an excellent habit, but it can't remove hardened tartar or fully address disease below the gumline.

A veterinary dental procedure lets the mouth be thoroughly evaluated and the teeth cleaned above and below the gumline, where periodontal disease can develop unseen.

Is your pet due for a dental evaluation? Call (619) 476-0053.
