Meet Colby Jack! 🧀
This little guy is as lovable as his cheesy namesake! Colby Jack is a 7-year-old Jack Russell mix who weighs just 15 lbs, making him the perfect fun-sized companion. He may be a senior on paper, but don’t let that fool you—he’s still spunky, playful, and ready for adventures.

Colby Jack was found as a stray in Spencer County, but he hasn’t let that slow down his happy spirit. He’s passed his initial testing with cats and kids, and he enjoys the company of other dogs too. With his sweet personality and zest for life, he’d fit right into many different homes.

Whether he’s exploring the yard, trotting alongside you on a walk, or curling up for some cuddle time, Colby Jack just wants to be with his people. He’s the perfect mix of energy and affection, and he’s more than ready to find his forever family.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.

✨ Mysterio’s Adoption Tale ✨

Mysterio’s journey began in an open field, where he was found with 5 other pups, searching for safety. A nice officer from the Spencer County Sheriff's Dept. loaded them up and brought them to It Takes a Village. Life hadn’t given him much, but his gentle spirit and quiet strength shone through from the very beginning. When he was rescued, no one could have guessed how quickly he would weave his way into someone’s heart.

What started as a chance encounter soon grew into something magical. His adopter saw past the uncertainty of his past and opened their heart and home to him. Mysterio, once a little soul with no place to belong, now spends his days surrounded by love, comfort, and the warmth of a family who adores him.

From a lonely field to a forever home—Mysterio’s story is a reminder that sometimes the ones who need us most are the ones who change our lives the greatest. ❤️🐾
