Today began a bittersweet journey to closing Tiny HoovZ Farm and Rescue. It has been a huge learning adventure for us. We have grown attached to so many of the piggies that we have taken in. Some we have raised since they were as young as 6 weeks old and will be turning three very soon.

We want to thank everyone that have supported us on this journey with donations, repair work, building things, and watching the animals when we had to be away. Your love and support has not gone unnoticed.

The attached video are just a few that were taken today.

The animals that we are not keeping will go to Compass Rose Farm Sanctuary in Spencer, IN. Follow them on fb, they have a wonderful place for all Farm animals.

Yesterday we had another intake. This beautiful girl came from Ohio County, KY. Lola was brought to us by the officers of animal control. She is sweet and very gentle. Next step for her is a visit to our vet. After her quarantine period, she will be introduced to the rest of the piggies here at Tiny HoovZ.

It has been a little busy the past couple of weeks. Making sure everyone in the barn has what they need for the colder temperatures. During this time we also had a three piggies that went their forever home.

Peggy Sue and Scout went to live at Compass Rose Farm Sanctuary and Pumba II went to live with another family. Everyone is doing well. The picture is Pumba at his new home.

We also had an intake this week. Peggy Sue came to join us on Wednesday. She is still trying to adjust to her new environment, but she is doing good.

This week was spa week for the piggies. It is so important to keep hooves and tusks trimmed. This is the tusks that were trimmed. Some are done every 6 months and some do not need it as often.

If you need a piggie farrier we highly recommend Freedom Acres Ranch, they have been doing our farm since we opened three years ago.

The past several weeks have been pretty quiet. However, we did have a piggie go to his forever home last week. Atlas is with his family and I am sure he is loving life. Thank you Crysta and Michael for loving him.

This is what the rescue and sanctuary business is all about. Three or four months ago I could barely touch this sweet boy and he definitely wouldn't just lay down for a belly rub. He was an owner surrender to animal control, malnourished and hooves so long he could barely walk. This is Oliver and we have put so much love and attention in this baby. He is still timid and stays to himself for the most part, but I am his person. This made my day.
