Lone Oak Farm wrapped up the school year and kicked off summer with two weeks at the beautiful Texas Rose Horse Park for Southbound Show Management’s Show Jumping Classic and Southwest Classic.
☀️Highlights☀️
Fox Creek’s Cavalier and Addison Ducote walked back in the show ring together and you would’ve thought they never left. Super rounds and all the smiles in the Children’s Hunter Ponies. Capping off the weekend with their signature flat class win! Meghan took the reins early in the week and was Champion in the USHJA 2’ Hunters. We are so happy that Duke is happy, healthy, and back doing his thing with Addison!!!
Jennifer Nichols Pesnell’s Cara Mia LDF made her first trip to a horseshow a memorable one. This young horse was born to be at a horse show! She took in the sights and sounds like a seasoned pro and went around the ring with a presence that made our hearts swell. Top placings and Resereve Champion Baby Green Hunters even with Meghan piloting her off course in her last class of the division. We couldn’t be more excited about Mia’s future!!!
Johnny Nichols’s Don Good and Meghan knocked off some dust in the Performance Hunters and USHJA National Derby. They capped off their time with Reserve Champion in the 3’6” Performance Hunters and 3rd Place in the Superstake. As always, all the love for Lewis!!!
Isabella Blakey’s Big Country Pilot made his horse show debut and was, as he always is, a grade A good boy. He capped off his two weeks stepping into the show ring for USHJA 2’ Hunters with a few top three placings! So much love for this sweet and kind 4 year old. All the thanks to the Blakey’s for trusting us to develop him and we cannot wait for Isabella to come visit this summer!!!
Camille Albritton and her Global Sports Man made their first show with LOF and first rated show a memorable one. Meghan piloted Goose early in the week to show him the ropes and they had some nice rounds in the USHJA 2’3” Hunters. Camille took over the reins on the weekend to many top three placing, lots of smiles, and smooth rounds. Super excited about this young horse and young riders future!!!
Caro Bookman and Freestyle had their last show with LOF before summer break. They started their week off Reserve Champion in the 1.10’s and stepped back into the 1.20 JR/AM for the weekend with some amazing jumps. We will miss having this duo in the barn over the summer but know they’ll have a blast back home in Baton Rouge and at WEC. August can’t get here fast enough!!!
Kerrigan Welch and her Twoshotsofcrown put in some beautiful smooth rounds in the TB and JR/AM Jumpers and thoroughly impressed us in their over fences of the USHJA Jumper Seat Medal. Kerrigan’s dedication to the overall picture and development of this young horse is a joy to watch!!
Phoebe Ainsworth Baessler’s and her Confetti always make our hearts happy. Phoebe lent the reins to Meghan early in the week for Reserve Champion TB Hunters. Phoebe snuck over for a few classes over the weekend and her last class was super!!!
Laura Sisson and Calling Card came over week one to lesson, hang out, and have a good time. An amazing time was had! Logo loved getting to take everything in with zero pressure and we love having Laura at a show!!!
Meghan Nichols and her Mr. Cielo Z had winning rounds that helped them capture the 1.20 Championship. So much love for this horse and the joy he brings!!!
Grace Sharplin brought her Antares Star with her to work week two. We cannot thank Grace enough for all her hard work, smiles, help, and dedication to every LOF horse and rider. She helped a busy week run smoothly and it was icing on the cake to see Antares fall in love with the environment. It’s not often you see a dressage horse at a hunter/jumper show but everyone was watching this beautiful team!!!
Thank you to everyone who helps keep LOF going!
