Layne has branded a couple times on Dale and decided to throw him in for practice just for the heck of it. There is NOTHING this pony won’t do for our family.
I am beyond giddy and over the moon excited. Dale has never seen a set of roping boxes, never tracked or seen the roping dummy. You’d think he’s a 15 year old seasoned kids rodeo horse! 😍
Enjoy some videos of his first night coming out of the boxes both breakaway and heeling.

Layne has been taking Boone and getting him started coming out of the boxes! This is his second day roping live cattle out of the boxes And this is his 4th run ever.

He’s going to be an amazing head horse as Layne starts to jackpot on him!

The way he just softly and quietly drops down and out as Layne pops his dallies shows us just where this horse is headed. 😎🤙🏻

Boone went along on the scouting trip and had his first trip into the mountains. Solid as they come! Sure footed, confident, never would have guessed he’d never seen the back country before!

Layne and Tyler three of our boys back scouting for bow season. Layne said Hudson packed like he’s been packing his entire life. Never hit a tree with his load, never bocked at anything on the trail, never hu**ed up. Had a bed roll on each side and a top pack of their food and extras. 😎

The orders are starting to roll in guys! I’ll start shipping stuff out on Monday 😎❤️

🤩Talk about the update that punches you right in the emotions. 🥹
Over the years in this business we have dealt with some pretty “less than pleasant” clients.

People that tell us we charge too much, tell us how to do our jobs, blame us for their horses hurting themselves, try to not pay their bills, etc, etc, etc.
Layne and I both were at Witt’s end with bad clients and bad horses and we made the tough decision to mandate a 90 day minimum and to screen horses and owners before accepting them into our program. It is the BEST decision we’ve ever made for our family and our business.
90 days allows Layne to take horses past the 30 day “start”.
So often young horses will actually hit a regression between 30 and 45 days of training. They’re sick of work, sick of being told what to do, sick of everything. Past this point, you’re forming new habits and “comfort zones”. So keeping a horse in training and helping them through these set backs and showing them “the brighter side to life” of going out and giving a meaning to their start is so important for the rest of their riding careers.

Dutch was a prime example of this. At 30 days she was cranky, sassy and argumentative. But with 90 days in the program this is what Amber has to say ⬇️

“It’s been about a month and a half since I got to bring Dutch home. We have trotted trails around home, took a trip to the mountains, checked cows and moved cows. She’s had time off (about a week) and we rode without a major fuss. We rode with other horses and ATVs and she handled that just fine. We ride alone a lot and she does great! She’s had a few c**t moments, but they are few and she has been so easy to handle in those moments. I have felt safe and confident with her at all times. She will cross anything I point her at. I have to give a big thank you to Layne for his work in training her. The time, knowledge and dedication he puts in shows. He did a phenomenal job with her, and she is perfect for my needs. He had given me a few tips and pointers at pick up, I used them, and what do you know… they worked! You both have created a solid program with open, honest, transparent communication. The final product speaks for itself. It has been a great and fun experience for me and that is all I had hoped and wished for. I am so grateful. So thank you! If I ever get another young horse, I 100% would bring them back to your program and would highly recommend your program to anyone else!”

Here’s to great horses, great owners and successful careers and partnerships ♥️
