Welcome to Royal Akitas! We have shown and raised Akitas since 1988. We take pride in the quality of our puppies and dogs. We strive to meet and/or exceed AKC breed standards and OFA genetic testing. We research our dog’s pedigrees and confirmation prior to breeding to combine all the strengths of each pair. We continually strive to produce some of the highest quality animals for OUTSTANDING bone,

type, temperament, and health. Our facilities at Royal Akitas provides all the luxuries to spoil our dogs. Our kennels are equipped with inside/outside runs. The inside has climate controlled heat and air conditioning. We live on a 40 acre farm which gives our animals ample room for exercise and play. Our dogs and puppies are very loved and well cared for and we strive to provide the very best for them. Each puppy is handled daily. Ensuring that they will have excellent temperament that will adjust nicely with their new family. Whether you are looking for a pet or you want a “Champion” quality show dog, we have a puppy just for you…….and we look forward to working with you.

In just two weekends of showing, my Battle baby is now an AKC Champion. Finishing with all five point majors. She also won her AKC Puppy of Achievement and a five point majors towards her Grand Championship. I’m going to let her mature for a few months. Then I’m going to get her back out for round two.

I’ve never introduced you to our baby girl! Her name is Battle “Royal’s War Games”. She went to her first shows last weekend and received a 5 point major (the highest number of points you can get at an AKC show). She was handled beautifully by Julia Foster (pictured). She is 9 months old and showing us so much promise. You haven’t heard the last from this precious, silly, and beautiful masterpiece.

I have three sweet girls (all long coats) looking for a forever home. These girls are Grand Champion sired/ Champion dam. Both parents are fully health tested with great results.

Kaboom is working on her AKC Bronze Grand Championship this weekend. She was awarded back to back Best of Breed wins for two big majors in St. Joseph, MO. Winning over a top ranked Akita both days. Kaboom is OFA CHIC tested ( meaning she has had all the required health testing for our breed). 11 points until she is awarded her new title. She was bred by my dear friend, Ann Johnson. I’m have big hopes for this beautiful and gentle girl. Thank you Paul Catterson for handling her so perfectly.
