November is National Pet Cancer Awareness Month, a reminder that cancer can affect pets just as it does people. The good news is that many forms of pet cancer are treatable when detected early.

Look for signs such as new lumps, changes in appetite, unexplained weight loss, or unusual tiredness. If something feels off, schedule a checkup or ask your veterinarian about a referral to a veterinary oncologist.

Pumpkin isn’t just for people—pets can enjoy it too. Plain pumpkin puree is a safe, tasty fall snack for most cats and dogs. Try mixing pumpkin with plain yogurt and freezing it in ice cube trays for a crunchy treat.

A spoonful of plain pumpkin puree added to your pet’s regular food makes a healthy seasonal boost of fiber to their diet.

Bingo the baby ball python visited the Peoria location last week to meet the team and get some tips for helping him through his dysecdysis (abnormal shed).
Young pythons shed much more frequently than adults, and his owner has been diligently monitoring Bingo's health and environment. We are excited to watch Bingo grow!
