Halfway Home Cat Rescue Inc. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue group dedicated to the care and adoption of cats and kittens.

We have approximately twenty wonderful foster homes in Western Mass. All of our cats and kittens are fostered in safe, loving homes until appropriate forever homes are found. Our foster kitties are part of our families-- they do not live in cages.

Meet Your New Favorite Duo: Sakura & Zenzi!

Born in early March, these adorable siblings are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together.

With her sleek black coat and bright eyes, Sakura looks just like a miniature Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon. She’s a sweet, gentle girl who can be a little shy at first, but she has made incredible progress and now seeks out pets and head scratches from the people she trusts. Once she feels comfortable, her playful side shines, and she loves chasing toys and playing with her brother.

Zenzi is all kitten joy and enthusiasm! This handsome boy is playful, affectionate, and always ready for fun. His confident personality helps Sakura feel safe, and he’s never far from her side. Whether he's wrestling, exploring, or snuggling, Zenzi brings happiness wherever he goes.

Sakura and Zenzi are the best of friends. They groom each other, play together, and rely on one another for comfort and confidence. Zenzi helps Sakura be brave, while Sakura keeps Zenzi company on all his adventures.

Winnie (around 1.5 years old) is chatty young former mama who’s ready for a fresh start after raising her kittens. She’s a sweet but sensitive girl who can be skittish with loud noises, new people, and changes in routine, so she’ll do best in a calm, quiet home.

Once she feels safe, Winnie loves sunny naps, playing with her toys, and will happily come out for treats (especially Churu!). She’s quite the talker and will “chat” with you throughout the day.

With patience and time, Winnie becomes a gentle, loving companion who enjoys affection on her own terms and will even follow you around for snacks and playtime. DM us for an application.

Meet Stormy and Twister

Stormy and Twister are a truly special bonded pair looking for a forever home where they can spend their golden years together.

Stormy is a 15-year-old gentleman who defies his age in every way. You’d never guess he’s a senior with the youthful spring still in his step—especially when a laser pointer appears! Stormy is the ultimate lap cat: once he settles in, your lap becomes his favorite place in the world. He has the loudest, most comforting purr and soft, velvety fur that begs to be pet. Stormy is deaf, which actually helps him adjust more easily to new feline siblings since he doesn’t react to hissing—just more proof of his easygoing nature.

Twister, a 14-year-old lady, is his perfect counterpart. She’s more refined and a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe, she transforms into a full-on purr machine. She has the sweetest little kitten-like meow, adores back and neck scritches, and loves nothing more than a cozy spot to relax. Twister is a little chonky and currently on her weight-loss journey.

Meet Stanley

Stanley is a handsome 9-year-young gentleman with a calm, gentle soul. Shy at first, he blossoms with patience and loves warm laps, belly rubs, and gentle scratches. He often rewards you with the cutest little meow when he’s happy.

Stanley has had a rough past but is ready for the loving home he deserves. He is FIV+ and missing all of his back teeth, with only his three canines remaining. He can eat dry food, but wet food is a necessary part of his diet.

We are still learning how Stanley does with other animals, but one thing is certain, this sweet boy is ready for a safe, loving home filled with comfort, cuddles, and love. DM us for an application.
