MANY BITES REPORTED THIS WEEK: The emergency service at VCA Valley Oak has been treating as many as 4 rattlesnake bite patients A NIGHT his week ! Keep pups on leash in parks and avoid areas where they may be out sunning themselves- They seem to particularly LOVE the levee, North Rim Trail and all trails associated with it. Please seek emergency care immediately if your buddy gets bitten. Dr Sandy Hazanow

If your pet goes missing, act fast! Here’s what you can do:

• Tell local animal shelters and Animal Control right away.
• Walk around your neighborhood, talk to people, and put up flyers with a photo and description of your pet.
• Share the news on social media to help spread the word.
• Keep checking shelter websites often. Visiting in person is best, but online info is helpful too.
