Festus has a new best friend, John 🥰. Thank you for coming to visit us and for gifting Festus with his surgery. 🙌🪽
We have scheduled Festus' surgery this coming Friday at Weatherford Equine with Dr Noland. We will drop him off sometime before noon and pick him up about 5 pm the same day.
We are over the moon excited to be able to provide this much needed dental surgery to Festus. Donors are a huge reason why we are able to continue doing the amazing work we do and offer sanctuary to so many equine that are deemed " unusable" in the horse world. We are so grateful for all the love and support each one of you show us each and every day. THANK YOU!

I'm a firm believer that if you do good things and are a good person that good things will happen. Last night as I was laying in bed half asleep, I got a message and then a call from Mark N Misty Armstrong with a very important message. A wonderful man from Misty's church wants to come meet Festus today and would like to cover his dental surgery in full!!!! Really???? OMG I'm awake now, But Really????? How do you ever say thank you enough? I can't wait to meet him today and tell him what an amazing person he is. Festus will be a new man. From the bottom of my heart Thank you to John and everyone else who donated. We will also need antibiotics to last a month or two after surgery so we will use the funds raised so far towards that. Thank you all for your love and support!!!!!!!

Festus Fundraiser : $0 needed
As you all know Festus has been healing from his broken jaw and now it's time to have the tooth removed that was causing so many issues. I've consulted with three equine dental surgeons and they are all about $2500 to complete this work. I cannot do this without you! The only other option is euthenasia which to me is not an option at all. I certainly wouldnt have extended his life this long to give up on him. Let's not give up on Festus. I cannot schedule his appointment until he have raised the funds. We will be using Dr Noland and he will come to Weatherford Equine to complete the surgery. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. Every single dollar counts! I'm pleading for help on this!

This sweet mare is looking for a pasture, companion home, lead line for small children. She is still young and has lots of life left. If you can offer this sweet girl a forever home please reach out and I can forward you to the owner. This is not our horse we just wanted to put her info out there to try and help find her a home.

Little update on these precious girl. They are doing well. Their eyes are clearing up and there are no signs of other sickness. One of these ladies has a super silly quirk and the other is a big love bug, stick around and watch 🥰

Barn cleaning day 💩 We also got an Amazon order we made. We will be doing a round of sand clear on Red since he came from a super sandy environment. All our horses get a round of psyllium once a year due to sandy loam soil that we have. This is regular horse maintenance when you have horses, especially with sandy ground or if they eat off the ground.
We got syringes and needles that we use so much for medicating quarantine horses and if one of ours needs banamine or another medicine. I think we used a case of these just for Franny when she was on all her medicine. They are a must have!

My bestie Misty and I ,from Sacred Acres , took on the task of shaving this boy today. Boy did he need it. We found, hay, stickers, and sticks in his mats and a few sore spots where the mats were growing into the skin. I know he has to feel better. He was not happy with us but we got it done and he seemed to calm down once he started feeling better. He got butt scratches and back scratches and treats. He loves treats 🥰. Cheers to new beginnings big guy.

Huge thank you to Avery and Mateo for washing 9 horses today for us!!!!! Everyone needed baths and I'm only one person so I enlisted some help. Great job guys!!!!! Here is a small snip of the great work they did.
