Inspired by Cooper & Elliott

Inspired by Cooper & Elliott Custom original artwork of your one-of-a-kind pet! Our company name is more than “just a name”, it states why it exists! But who are Cooper & Elliott? Everything.

Hand drawn & painted from a favorite photo using a special artistic technique that captures the unique personality of your pet! They are the two short and hairy males that changed my life…for the better. Elliott - a sweet, 8 pound, extremely intelligent black and white Papillon, and also my first four-legged love; Cooper – an energetic, animated, personality overflowing, ruby Cavalier King Charles

Spaniel, and my soul mate in canine form…both of these boys have shown me what’s truly important in life: being yourself, living in the moment, small wins are big wins and should make you just as happy, simply enjoying life to the fullest every single day and especially, loving unconditionally. But what does that have to do with inspiring art? Some artists know practically from birth what they are, while others take longer to grow into their artist pants. In either case, all artists need to be inspired in order to spark creativity – it’s impossible to truly be free to create without motivation and reason behind it. Motivation stimulates creativity. I am one of the artists who knew from birth what I was. While I have a variety of inspirations for other art that I do (you can check out my sculptures, paintings, photography and more at www.deborahervin.com), the love and the life that I have had because of Cooper and Elliott enables me to create these pet portraits. They are my inspiration. I see in other pet owners their love and devotion - dogs, cats, birds, hamsters…pets of all species are family - it makes me smile and I want to capture that feeling in an image that is as unique as the love and their pet. No two animals or relationships are the same, artwork is that way too! We’ll create a custom, one-of-a-kind piece of original art, in the style that suites you and your pet, from one of your favorite photographs. All art is hand drawn and painted using two different artistic techniques. Don’t have a pet, but like a certain breed? Check out our Image Gallery and choose an image to be made into a print or placed on merchandise. Check out the tabs on our page to learn more about the different options!

ASH Cooper. I said “ASH”!!!!
Cooper’s annual Catholic fail.

Cooper's prank aside, the Lenten season has begun.
Today is a day of God’s Love through ashes. Ashes on our foreheads remind us that life is fragile, precious, and a gift from God. Ashes symbolize humility, but they also carry hope. They mark the start of a journey back to God, an invitation to turn away from what pulls us from Him and return to the One who always welcomes us with open arms.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Cooper is showing his respect for Presidents Washington & Lincoln on this Presidents' Day. However he suggests that you show your fur-baby some love by getting him/her an Inspired by Cooper & Elliott custom pet painting...they'll feel like a million bucks.

Meet 4-year-old Oliver, the tri-color Cavalier from Scottsdale, Arizona, as an Inspired by Cooper & Elliott custom pet painting. Oliver is sweet and spunky. He and his Mom Michele used to live in Chicago and before he was born, there was Winston (one of Cooper’s original besties... we miss him so much). Before they made their permanent move to Arizona, we got to spend time doggy au pairing Oliver like we did for years with his brother Winston. He was such a joy! Lovable like Winston but also a little less chill. His Mom says she sees Winston in his face shape and some expressions but he’s also uniquely Oliver. She contacted me and said it was time to have a painting done of this sweet pea so it could hang right beside Winston’s. It was so nice spending time with our little friend, even if it was only looking at photos of him. I’m sure Cooper would have preferred spending time in person with him! https://www.cooperandelliott.com/portraits

Meet Lady and Penny as an Inspired by Cooper & Elliott custom pet painting. These Cocker/Cavalier mix bonded girls had a wonderful life with their dad. Then he got very sick and had to go into the hospital for treatment. Without anyone to care for his girls, he reached out to Greater Chicago Cavalier Rescue to see there was a way for them to be fostered while he tried to heal and recover. Of course this amazing organization stepped up. GCCR volunteer and board member Patti welcomed the girls into her home to foster with her two Cavaliers Wesley and Gino. The girls settled in and Patti kept in touch with their dad sending photos, videos and updates. After some time, it was determined that the dad’s cancer was terminal and he wouldn’t have much time. Patti drove Lady and Penny to see there dad and spend the day with him in the hospital. It brought so much happiness to their dad and to the girls. Their dad passed a short time later. But he got to see his girls one last time and it meant so much to him. While 4 dogs are a lot in the house, Patti could not part from them. They had become family and she didn’t want them to lose that again. Now they are adopted and officially family. For Christmas I painted the girls together based on several photos Patti had posted of them. Now it is really real as their painting hangs alongside the others of her fur babies that I have painted. I'm sure their dad is smiling down from Heaven knowing his girls are in the best hands. https://www.cooperandelliott.com/portraits
