Ouch! 🤕 Animals are great at hiding pain and often display subtle changes in behavior to communicate pain or other issues. Monitoring daily behavior and habits may help you notice changes and recognize something is off! 🐾

Here are a few common symptoms of pain:
- Inappetence or refusal of treats/food they normally enjoy eating.
- Increased anxiety - this can be inability to settle, heightened aggression, or displaying guarding behaviors over certain areas of the body
- Difficultly getting up after resting, slower or more stiff movement, and refusal to play
- Increased or excessive licking & biting in specific areas on the body
- Limping or hesitant to put full weight on a limb

If you notice any of these symptoms, it is important to see your veterinarian as soon as possible for an appropriate diagnosis and treatment! 🩺
