The Bark Bark Club was founded in 2001 by Patti Colandrea as a premier pet grooming salon. A community where pets would receive the care and attention they deserve, and pet owners could socialize with other pet lovers like themselves. The Bark Bark Club’s mission goes beyond their love of pets to include the community and the world around them. At the Bark Bark Club, our mission is:

🐶🦴 We’re excited to launch a new way to keep your dog mentally stimulated and engaged during daycare: Enrichment Sessions – just $10 for 15 minutes of one-on-one time with our team.

Each session includes fun activities like learning simple cues (sit, spin, over/under), confidence-building games, and interactive play. It’s not formal training – it’s quality time focused on keeping your dog’s brain active and their tail wagging.

Enrichment helps break up the daycare day, supports good behavior, and gives your pup some extra personal attention.

Spots are limited daily – let us know if you’d like to add it to your dog’s next visit!

A BBC team member will spend 15 minutes with your pup engaging them with cues such as:

We urgently need your help for a special dog named Bessie, who is in desperate need of a second chance.

Bessie’s owner, a longtime neighbor in Edgewater, passed away suddenly, leaving her without a home. Unfortunately, his out-of-town relatives cannot take her in. If a foster, rescue, or adopter doesn’t step up soon, Bessie may end up at CACC and face the risk of euthanasia.

Bessie is a sweet, spayed tripod dog who is friendly with other dogs, housebroken, and non-destructive. She’s currently being cared for by the landlord but is alone in the apartment and cannot stay there long. 💔

Despite her challenges, including the loss of her owner, Bessie deserves a loving home. Bark Bark Club is working to find her a safe outcome and would appreciate any help in fostering, adopting, or spreading the word.
