We are delighted to highlight our ISGA members of Eden Place Farms Located in the South Side of Chicago, Eden Place has become an answer to the severe food desert that has existed for more than 50 years in the community of Fuller Park.

Fuller Park is home to about 2,200 people - 83% Black, 3% white - according to the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning. For Michael Howard, founder of Fuller Park Community Development under which Eden Place operates, the work began as a project to clean up an illegal dumping site which has become Eden Place Nature Center.

The addition of Eden Place Farms has a beacon for local residents, a living reminder that as they reclaim the land, they are also reclaiming the forgotten stories of those who worked the land before them.

Oops! 🫣 Turns out we were so excited about our Grand Opening that we got our own schedule a little mixed up! To our amazing community and valued customers, we want to make sure you can find us when our gates are open. Here are our official, updated hours for the Eden Place Farm Market:

Special thanks to Whole Foods staff for showing up and helping with Eden Place Farms season kickoff. Growing beds were built, tomato plants were transplanted, salad transplants were planted in straight neet rows for a future harvest. We could not survive without partners like Whole Foods who support us with their labor and many more contributions.
