Windy City Sugar Gliders

Windy City Sugar Gliders Small hobby breeder of quality sugar gliders, supplies, and glider education. Call for info. Visits All joeys are hand tamed and loved on from the very begining.

We breed for standard Grey, Black Beauty, White Faced Blond, Mosaic, Leucistic, platinum, and Creme-ino. All babies are raised in our home, are our pets first, are VERY SPOILED, and are a big part of our family. All of our breeding gliders have documented lineage and are listed in The Pet Glider database. Sugar Glider Joeys will be weaned onto Priscilla Price Diet. All giders health checked, inclu

ding f***l, before being adopted to ensure you are getting a healthy baby. Prices vary depending on lineage, breeding or pet-only, and color. We do offer discounts on multi-glider and pet-only adoptions. Pet-only males will be neutered by our vet before going to their new homes. We will NOT adopt a single glider that is intended to be kept as a single glider. Gliders are happier with a friend of their own kind. Please email or call for more info.

*** Sugar Gliders require specific care and are not a low maintenence pet. Please research and ask questions before adopting. While we do feel that sugar gliders can be good pets for those with a family, It is our policy to NOT adopt to children under 18. Children, teens, and even college students are more subject to having life changes. We don't want our gliders rehomed. If cared for properly, gliders could live 9-12 yrs. Please make sure you are commited to owning a glider this long before adopting.

I took these twin female joeys to the vet Monday for health checks and f***ls. One (the creme-ino) was a good patient and the other was a wild child. The leucistic face hugged the vet and ran all over the exam room. Floor monkey was having big fun until I put her back in the pop up carrier. I love my vet. She took it like a champ.

Update- adopted.

Please message or call for more info if interested.

This pair came to my house a week or so ago. They were NOT my gliders, but I did help their owner with glider info, diet, my vet for neuter, and that the boy needed a buddy. The creme-ino boy turned two right before new years. They knew the oop date for him. They got the standard grey girl as a joey around last June. She is believed to be a year and few months.

Their owners were moving out of state and they couldn't take them. It was down to the wire where they were the last things in the unit and the painters were coming. The owners had to leave. So here they are.

The male has a tipped (slightly shorter) tail as a joey. He came like that and doesn't know the difference. It has been healed since young and doesn't affect him in any way. They did come with a cage, but it doesn't have a p**p tray. The doors are small and can't fit a wheel. It was very difficult to try to reach the pouch. It's for birds and not glider friendly. It's outside and I'm using my emergency cage. They didn't have a glider safe wheel, but took to a stealth wheel quickly here. They are always running in it. Basically, they need everything. The young man that had them loved them, but they didn't have the proper set up.

The male is neutered and they are a bonded pair. They must stay together. No breeding. They are on tpg diet. They take treats nice. They were a little shy the first couple of days. I fed them, talked to them, gave them treats, and let them settle. I'm able to handle them now no problems. They have never bitten me. Good fuzzies if you are patient and let them come to you on their terms.

They will be health checked and f***l tested. Copy of vet records will go with them. Private message for more info if interested in these two. I'm looking for a stable home that will keep them the rest of their lives and can afford to provide glider safe housing (wheel, cage, toys, cage sets, etc).

Update- These two have been adopted by one of my previous adopters. Yeah! Thanks Monica

Here is a list of Rescue codes that you can use to get $5 off a glider safe wheel (Free Runner) and the Rescue gets $5 off their next purchase when you use their code. Win win situation. Please make sure your gliders have a glider safe wheel. They are a bit pricy, but they will use that wheel EVERY night. These wheels last several years. Please message or comment if you have questions. There are several glider safe wheels out there. I use the Wisconsin Rescue code since they are the closest to Chicago.

This is a great video to help people new to gliders. I try to repost it every year in hopes that it will help someone.

It is that time of the year again. I am getting a lot of calls and messages looking for gliders for xmas presents for kids. I do not adopt gliders to be pets for young kids. No gliders will be leaving my home for xmas presents. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and Christmas. Stay safe and stay healthy.

I have a few pairs of rehomes looking for stable adult forever homes. Please read entire message before contacting me.

These were my gliders as joeys, were adopted, and their owners could no longer keep them. One glider was from another breeder and came back with my glider. We are working together to place In pet home. I paid to get these gliders back to me. All gliders are health checked, f***l tested, and neutered if needed. They have to stay together. I won't split them up.

They have always been cared for well and been fed TPG diet. I would like them to stay on the diet they are used to if possible. They are friendly and take treats nice. No lunging or behavior issues.

Gliders do have lineage, but they are pet only. This means no breeding. If you are looking for gliders to breed, these are not the gliders for you.

First pair is a Male and female pair. They are mosaic and a standard grey. They used to be breeding. Male is neutered. They will not accept outside gliders. They need to be just kept as the pair.
*update-adopted*

Second pair are standard grey twins *update-adopted*

Third pair will be updated after health checks.

These gliders are being adopted at a loss. There is an adoption fee to help offset the vet costs. I do want to talk to people before adopting. I would prefer local adopters, so people can come and meet them first to see if you are a good fit. These gliders didn't come back with much, but I will send them all with something. You can't bring supplies on a plane. I do have a few used spare cages that I could sell at a discount if needed. You can also purchase your own things from wherever you want. I just care that they have a proper set up.

I will not adopt to be pets for kids. Please consider if you are committed to keeping them for the life of the pet. I want this to be their last and final home.

Thank you for reading this far. Please message if you are interested or have any questions.
