Avery is our newest birdie client, a Black Capped Conure who loves to cuddle with her dad. 🥰 She's not too fond of strangers, but we don't hold it against her! ☺️ It must be pretty intimidating being a small bird in a big world. 😱

These pups are ready for another with their Green Paws Pet Care Specialists! 🏋️‍♀️🏋

As we head steadily into springtime, we want to let everyone know to keep an eye out for if your pup is feeling dehydrated or overexerted during playtime. 🥵 Always keep water handy after walks in the heat and watch for excessive panting or lethargy. 😓 Keeping your pup happy with playtime only lasts if you are also keeping them healthy! 🥰

Happy ! 🐾 We're here to share some fun facts about the squishiest parts of your furry friends' bodies and how you can best make sure they are taken care of! 💚

Toebeans act as a cat or dog's built-in shock absorbers, making sure that whether they are running or jumping, their impact is softened and their joints are protected. 😄 Dogs and cats also primarily sweat through their paw pads, as they don't have sweat receptors the way we do! 🥵 This sweat doubles as a way to mark their scent wherever they walk, letting others know just whose territory it is. 😉

Since a pets' paw pads are one of the first things bearing the brunt of a dog or cat's travel, always make sure to keep an eye out for cracking, bleeding, or abnormal sensitivity after a walk or playtime. 🔎 You can never be too careful when it comes to your furbaby's health! 🥰

🚨New Client Alert🚨 Who's this little explorer seeing all the new Chicago sights? 🕵️ It's Dora, our newest little pup! 🐶

Dora came all the way from Hawaii, and this tropical doggie is ready to take Chicago by storm. 🌴 In case you couldn't tell by her big ears and sweet little face, she is a Chihuahua mix and, while she is a little shy and unsure of her surroundings as a new girl in the big city, once she warms up to you she is the happiest pup around! 🥰

We are so excited to welcome Miss Dora to our great city, we hope she loves it as much as we love her! 💚🐾

With the holiday comes fireworks, so while you celebrate and enjoy the festivities, always be aware of how your furry friends are feeling. 🎆 Make sure your pets have collars and tags with their information on them, as the fireworks can startle furbabies enough for them to try and get away through any means possible! 🙀 Try to negate this as well by keeping your pets inside and in a dark, calming environment so they don't get too overwhelmed. 😌
