We took the time and earned Dolly's trust! Not all paws at Da Vinci Paws come ready to hit the streets with us. Yet the utter joy & reward of endearing a dog to see us as their friend, and not as a villian, is worth it.
We welcome your shy, nervous, timid, and/or fearful paws. We'll work with you & them to reach the same goal as we did with Dolly.

Please share and pass along to your friends & neighbors!
I am usually the 1st to joke about how the weather is never as bad as they report it. But I also can't ignore when something is reported as unusually bad. Last night's storm was pretty intense. And there is the potential for it to be worse tonight.
So please take the necessary precautions now. Ready the crates, put on collars w/ ID tags (make instant tags at petco, petsmart, Krisers, Jewel), have water, flashlights/candles, etc. Make sure your personal devices are fully charged. Do not drive if it can be helped.
Take the dogs out early. Give any pets that need it - CBD, xanax, trazadone, gabapentin, etc. Secure your windows so no cats are escaping in a panic through a screen or porch. Use white noise machines or soothing sounds.
Better yet, secure all pets into a safe space or room if the storm does look bad - crates, bathrooms, inner gated off hallway, basements, bedroom (close windows), etc.
Due to the heat & risk of power outage, freeze bags of water so you have the ability to keep yourself & Pets cool.
And keep an eye out for flooding in or near your homes/buildings.
If you need anything, come tomorrow, please reach out if we can be of service or support.
It is better to be overly prepared. Be safe.

Well I'm doing it again!!! I'm jumping into Lake Michigan with the Chicago Polar Bear Club, NFP. As we embrace the heart of winter, Da Vinci Paws is thrilled to announce our participation in the 23rd Annual Polar Bear Plunge on January 27th. This marks our 5th year of braving the chilly waters, and we're more excited than ever!
And I am delighted to have my friend Lorna Juett join us again this year!
This year, we're not only supporting the brave Polar Bears at the Chicago Polar Bear Club (learn more at [www.chicagopolarbearclub.com]), but we're also diving into a concurrent fundraiser for the incredible work done by the Network For Animals, a global animal welfare organization (discover their impact at [www.networkforanimals.org]).
The Chicago Polar Bear Club (CPBC) is grassroots 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, based in Chicago, dedicated to helping real Chicagoland families [www.chicagopolarbearclub.com/2024-families]. The CPBC holds an annual “polar plunge” event each January to raise money to support a select set of families, who need help to cover medical expenses, find a safe home, care for extended family, etc.

Network For Animals (a non-governmental, international animal welfare organization crusading for animals around the world.) - "Dogs, cats, donkeys and other animals had been left without food, shelter or anyone to care for them. Working with emergency rescue teams and brave volunteers, we were able to rush food and supplies to animals trapped in war zones, and to evacuate as many as we could. As the brutal war wears on, our support continues, funded entirely by the compassion and generosity of Network for Animals supporters."

Before Da Vinci Paws, before Da Vinci’s Dog Agency, before The Boys’ Dog Walking Crew...there were my Boys - Duke & Da Vinci.
Da Vinci’s Paws reflects the sweetness and intellect that I ascribe to not only my dogs, but also in the Renaissance ideal of knowing a little bit about everything. Our relationships with our clients and their paws & claws is not just about the visits, but about the whole life cycle, care, needs, minds, and bodies, of those paws. We bring our extensive and continuous expertise to everything we do. We seek to improve not only the quality of life for your paws, but also to deepen the relationship between you and your furry companions.
I grew up in a home where there were always our dogs, cats (yes plural), as well as the dogs we - rescued, fostered, rehabilitated, trained, nurtured, and rehomed. We even owned a pet supply store for a few years.
I went off to college and started dog sitting for faculty and staff.
Then I moved to Chicago in 2006. And I brought my two boys with me. Shortly after I found myself working in corporate jobs that allowed me to work from home most days of the week. So to help make ends meet, I started dog walking and dog sitting on the side - the birth of The Boys Dog Walking Crew. Then in 2012 and a Master’s later, I quit corporate and went 100% entrepreneurial across several ventures. My dog walking and sitting business grew to support me and those other endeavors.
In 2013 Duke, my Old Man (even when he was a pup) passed away gently at the grand age of 17. We welcomed into my home a stray kitten who became our beast named Dante.
Early 2015 I looked at my life, my work, my stress, my finances, and my happiness. I realized of all the paths I had taken, I had come back to my happy place when I was 8 years old - working with dogs. So I stopped pursuing other endeavors, and focused 100% on my dog walking and sitting business. And we started collaborating and working with other dog walkers.
In 2016 Da Vinci’s Dog Walking Agency became the rebranded name. Eventually we formally added team members as independent contractors.
In 2017 Da Vinci, my Little Man, passed away from cancer at the age of 14. Dante and I were beside ourselves having no dog to call our own. What is a dog walker without their own dog. So we welcomed into our hearts my Sweet Boy Jasper at 1 years old. And we officially renamed the business Da Vinci’s Paws.
