When I say we have assembled the "A-Team," at Anything Is Pawzible, I am NOT kidding!! I am thrilled to welcome Jamie Ramos to Anything Is Pawzible!!!

Jamie Ramos joins the team as a Behavior Specialist, focusing on leash reactivity, confidence building, and urban living challenges. Prior to landing at AIP, Jamie completed her apprenticeship and was quickly promoted to dog trainer at another large facility in Chicago, where she taught day training, puppy socials, group classes, and private lessons while also being mentored by the senior behavior consultants on staff. Jamie is the proud guardian of two rescue pups of her own: Emma, the 8-year-old cancer surviving tripawd who was a street dog in Puerto Rico and Nelson (or “Nelly”), a 2-year-old Cattle Dog/Husky mix who Jamie inherited from her first pet services job as a dog handler when Nelly’s first guardian unexpectedly passed away. Nelly has struggled with leash reactivity and other fear-based issues since coming home and has been a major source of inspiration for Jamie in pursuing a career in behavior modification.

Before transitioning to working in pet services, Jamie received her MFA in Theatrical Direction at Indiana University-Bloomington, where she also taught acting for three years through a trauma-informed lens. Prior to grad school, she worked in NYC as a director, casting director, talent rep, producer, and actor for 8 years. It was in New York that she started fostering Puerto Rican street dogs after the hurricanes in the fall of 2017, soon after adopting Emma. Jamie is much happier now having left the entertainment industry behind her after the fallout of the pandemic and enjoys spending the majority of her time with dogs and teaching the people who love them.

Jamie is nearly done with her VSA-CDT through the Victoria Stilwell Academy and is a proud member of the International Association of Behavior Consultants. She plans to pursue accreditation through IAABC as soon as she qualifies, and is very passionate about continuing education.

We are thrilled to announce our newest member of the Anything Is Pawzible training team, Drew Ballantyne!

Drew is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (KPA) and Behavior Specialist and always longed for a dog growing up, but his situation didn’t allow it. Instead, he would visit friends and family to play with their dogs, and occasionally dog sit. At nineteen years old, his first dog Y-Lee came into his life, and they had a phenomenal eleven years together. After Y-Lee’s passing, Andrew spent more and more time hanging out with his brother and sister-in-law’s Rhodesian Ridgebacks. So much so that Andrew tagged along to an Animal Behavior Training Concepts puppy class. Andrew was blown away by the teaching style, welcoming environment and explanation of positive reinforcement really clicked with him (pun intended). Soon after, Andrew attended the next Karen Pryor Academy Dog Trainer Professional. It was an amazing learning experience and solidified the next phase of his life: working with and training dogs.

Following his graduation from the Karen Pryor Academy in 2013, Drew adopted his PAWS dog Gus, a goofy hound who continues to bring him joy every day. Gus has also provided Drew with firsthand experience of the challenges of having a dog with behavioral difficulties, such as separation anxiety and overarousal on walks. Thanks to training and help from his veterinary behaviorist, Gus is doing much better!

From 2019-2024, Drew was the head trainer at a veterinary behavior practice, Insight Animal Behavior Services, specializing in animals with medium to severe behavioral issues including aggression, fear, and anxiety. The knowledge and experience gained from working closely with veterinary behaviorists, distressed clients, and distressed dogs strengthened his commitment to helping clients better understand behavioral issues and helping dogs work through their fear, anxiety, and stress.

Welcome Drew to Anything Is Pawzible!
