A Rough Start for the Tiniest Life – Meet Stitch💔
Four tiny kittens arrived at Touched by an Animal under heartbreaking circumstances — their mother had been tragically hit and killed by a car. Just 3 weeks old, these fragile babies needed around-the-clock bottle feeding and care to survive.
One little kitten— the smallest of the litter — was in especially rough shape. His fur was filthy and matted, especially around his face. As we gently bathed him, something horrifying happened: a large piece of his scalp came off, revealing a massive open wound. We rushed him to the vet, where he immediately underwent emergency surgery to close the wound. He also needed stitches from his cheek to his mouth to treat another injury we discovered.
This brave little fighter is now recovering, spending nights at home with a me for constant monitoring and days cuddled up with his three brothers for comfort and warmth. We named him Stitch and he definitely has a tale to tell!
He has a long road ahead — but he’s not giving up.

Neither are we. But we need your help.
Right now, we are caring for 51 kittens — each one needing food, litter, vet visits, vaccines, and in many cases, intensive medical treatment just like this. Emergency surgeries, special care, and daily attention are incredibly costly — and we simply can’t do it without you.

Kitten Season is Here—and We're Swimming in Whiskers! 🐾

Dear Friends of Touched by an Animal,

We don't want to alarm you... but the kittens are coming. Actually, they're already here. They're climbing curtains, pouncing on shadows, and meowing at us in twelve-part harmony.

It's officially kitten season, and while it sounds adorable (and it is), it's also our busiest—and most expensive—time of year. (we are just getting started and we already have 48 kittens)

Every single kitten that comes through our doors needs food, litter, vaccines, testing, deworming, flea treatment, and eventually spay/neuter surgery. (They're tiny, but wow, do they come with a list.)

We're getting ready for the onslaught of toe beans and tiny squeaks—but we can't do it alone. We need your help to stock up on supplies and prepare for the medical care these kittens and their hardworking mamas will need.

Hi Friends -I need your help!
We have a beautiful calico named Magda who tested positive for FELV. We are looking for a long-term foster for her. Must be the ONLY cat. Dogs are ok.
She is about 1 1/2 years old and is sweet as pie. Playful and loves human companionship! Food, litter and vet care will be provided to the foster!

Magic was left at our shelter’s doorstep in the middle of the night. She’s very very sick. This wonderful woman named Rachel had a agreed to foster her and then, knowing that our Rescue can’t absorb all of these costs for this poor kitty, she decided to take over her care, but magic is really really sick and does need a lot of medical attention . If you can spare anything, please try to help. Donate so that Rachel can give magic a chance.
