Looking for a way to help adoptable animals beyond the shelter? Consider becoming an Animal Champion!
Acting as a public relations ambassador for an adoptable cat, dog, rabbit, or other animal helps us share their story with more people in the hopes of finding them a forever home faster. (Like this month’s Sweet 16 pets! 😃)
👉 Here’s how to champion one of our adoptable shelter residents:
1️⃣ Choose a pet from the list below and become their personal PR agent.
2️⃣ Share their headshot and story with your social media network. Right click on their photo, save it, and start spreading the word online! Be sure to include the link to their adoption profile in your posts.
3️⃣ Connect with businesses across your community and ask them if they’ll help promote the pet. Provide printed handouts of their headshot to make it easy to participate. Then, once the pet is adopted, loop back around to celebrate and thank the business for their support.
4️⃣ Print the Sweet 16 flier to share the full cast of featured adoptables across your community. Consider posting the flier at a local coffee shop, laundromat, and any other space where people may gather and linger. (Be sure to update the flier we post monthly to keep the momentum going.)
