Micro-chipped - Missing from his dog sitters yard - on 107th between Normal & Parnell Chicago IL -
Dec. 26-28th of 2022.

Bud went missing from his regular dog walker that had been watching him overnight. He was Bud’s regular dog walker for several years. And when I could not get Bud an reservation with his regular boarding facility, he'd watch him. But I mostly used his dog walking services. I was told Bud went missing from his yard which is on 107th St between Normal & Parnell - Chicago IL - along with two other do

gs of his - A black male pitbull with white markings on chest & paws that went by the name of King. And a female bully breed light tan with white markings on neck, chest & paws by the name of Penny - I believe. During this time while Bud's been missing and with the help of some wonderful lost dog recovery volunteers - we’ve hung 100’s of flyers, talked to multiple people, followed up with police, gone to shelters & viewed multiple dogs in the possibility they might have been Bud. But still no Bud 😢

Bud is a purebred male Labrador retriever. He is micro-chipped & it is up to date. He was wearing a metal training collar - no tags. He is neutered. Had knee surgery on both rear legs. And also has an very identifiable feature. I’ve had him since he was a puppy. He has a loving home & he is deeply missed 💔

It would be encouraging to see compliance & enforcement of ordinances and state laws by local municipalities and animal control shelters in regards to the Illinois Animal Control Act - specifically impounding of strays and the return to owner process that seems to be overlooked by local authorities when it comes to "who" is responsible to be upholding & complying with such ordinances and laws. Or simply disregarded by local shelter(s) and municipalities when owners come forward looking for their lost pets.

IF YOU FOUND A DOG PLEASE GET THEM SCANNED FOR A MICROCHIP 🐾

1,716 days. That's how long Sparky was missing. When he disappeared in 2020, his family put up flyers in hopes he would find his way back to them. He was found this weekend running loose in a neighborhood just FIVE minutes away from his original family's house!

Thanks to a microchip scan, we were able to get into contact with the owner's daughter, who is turning 15 and is thrilled to celebrate her quinceañera with him. When the father saw Sparky in his kennel, the lost pup appeared to recognize him and gave him the classic husky howl. The whole family is thrilled to have him home. 💙

Facebook always wants to know what's on my mind. Well.....

When there's such a crisis with the animal shelters it's hard to understand why anyone would keep someone's beloved pet. If you go to any shelter there's 1000's of dogs waiting. Literally any breed of dog.

Sharing Bud's Story again for anyone that's new to our page - Bud has been missing for 958 Days - pictures disclosed are of the home/yard/street he went missing from on or around December 26, 2022.

Someone in the neighborhood may have found him and thought he was unwanted - You might have had good intentions. We get it. There's so many loose dogs every day.

BUT Bud is loved & deeply missed every single minute of every day.

I will never stop looking - Please have a heart & let him come home to me
