The International Kennel Club of Chicago and all associated clubs from the Great American Dog Show Cluster would like to thank all of our exhibitors, judges, stewards, and volunteers for attending our show in Tinley Park last weekend.
We hope you enjoyed your time with us. We were thrilled by the size of our entry, and feel that you all contributed to a friendly atmosphere and successful event.
Thank you for helping to take good care of our site and host hotel, ensuring that we are able to continue in future years.
We know that this show is different and that the large crowds sometimes make things stressful. You all handled this well. Thank you for understanding the importance of bringing the public in to shows and sharing our passion with them. It has always been our mission to spread awareness of purebred dogs, and ensure that our sport can be sustainable for generations to come.
To those of you who participated in Greet The Breeds, we doubly thank you! The crowds in that area, particularly on Saturday, were incredible, and we had so much feedback from the public about how much that part of the show enhanced their experience.
Our team has listened to concerns and suggestions and we will be implementing some adjustments in our future shows to allow for more aisle space around the rings. We have already mapped out a new ring plan for 2027 which will make the show a better experience for everyone.
In the meantime, we hope to see you at Cantingy Park in September! Those of you who attended this special show in 2025 will be happy to know that the park is allowing us to move to the beautifully manicured grass in the center of the park. This means even ground and no more acorns!
If you have a breed club interested in hosting specialties or supported entries with us in September or January, please get in touch with us!
