My name is Kim, owner, treat maker (aka everything!) behind COSMICOS.
And my 4 cats: McCartney, Harrison, Lenny, and Ringo, the real CEOs and Quality Control Managers 🐾
I’m originally from CDMX and moved to Chicago 8 years ago to follow my culinary dream. Like many who watched Chef’s Table, I dreamed of working in a Michelin star restaurant with Chef Grant Achatz and I did! I worked in Chicago restaurants in the savory side for several years… but then the pandemic hit, and the industry was deeply affected. That’s when I decided to switch to pastry.
While working in pastry, I had this wild idea: what if I made chef-level treats for pets? Using my culinary background, I created COSMICOS offering high-quality, handmade treats, butchered by me, using ingredients from local, ethical farms for your beloved pets.
I remember the day I launched this Instagram account. I wasn’t sure who would follow me. Of course, my first supporter was my partner… but even some friends were skeptical that this could actually work.
Thank you so much to everyone who believed in me and supported me along the way. To every pet parent who trusted me and stocked my treats in your pantry, this means the world. This has been the most incredible thing I’ve ever done, and I’m so glad I took the leap… and continue to take it.
