History made at Churchill Downs. 🐎✨

Huge congratulations to Cherie DeVaux, the first woman to train a Kentucky Derby winner in the race’s 152-year history. Her horse, Golden Tempo, charged from the back of the pack to an unforgettable victory.

Today is bigger than one race — it’s a reminder that barriers can be broken, ceilings can be shattered, and little girls watching now can dream even bigger.

What a moment for horse racing, women in sport, and history. 💐🏆

Our new Mustang friend is not intimated by little people. 🩵

Brooks went to go say hi and pony happily munched his hay while B watched. Not shown, Stetson in the baby carrier making all kinds of happy sounds.

We got a new horse resident today!

Welcome to Legend and his people, Cindy and Harry!!

We also made a new friend who’s going to be here for just a couple weeks. We’re happy to have her and her two ponies (and the puppies).

Howdy y’all!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and at Saddle Up we want to recognize the healing that can happen in the presence of horses, community, and time spent outdoors.

There’s something special about the barn—fresh air, quiet moments, steady horses, and the kind of connection that helps people breathe a little deeper. Horses have a way of grounding us, teaching patience, building confidence, and reminding us to stay present.

We’re especially grateful for those using their gifts to serve others through this work, including our trainer and her business, Balanced Horses Healing Humans, who helps create meaningful spaces for growth and healing.

Mental health matters. You are important. And sometimes healing looks like hoofbeats, sunshine, and one step at a time. 🤍

Happy 1️⃣7️⃣ birthday Ace!!!

Ace is easily the biggest horse on property and one of the kindest. He LOVES the little people, his mama and food.

Happy birthday big guy! 🎂

Something exciting is happening around the barn this summer 💥🐴

Huge congratulations to Kye for being selected for the meekermustangmakeover! He just picked up his new gelding, and we’re thrilled our barn gets to be part of the backdrop for this incredible journey.

Kye is like family here, and we’ve seen firsthand the patience, dedication, and heart he brings to working with mustangs. We know this horse is in the right hands.

Over the next few months, they’ll be building trust, putting in the miles, and preparing for competition day this fall. We can’t wait to watch their progress and cheer them on along the way.

Follow along with us this summer for updates on their makeover journey — this is going to be a fun one to watch. 🔥

Help us congratulate Kye below ⬇️
