City of Chetek Dog Park

City of Chetek Dog Park The City of Chetek Dog Park is three acres where your dog is free to run and play without a leash. Year round fun!

With an open grassy and tree shaded areas to enjoy the freedom. The park is divided into two sections: small dogs only and all size dogs. In September 2014, a community got together and asked the City of Chetek about a possible dog park. The City gave us use of 3 acres to create a small breed and large breed dog park. That is when we went on the mission and created our Fencing Fundraising Project.

After fundraising for almost 2 years......we officially opened our dog park on August 21, 2016. Although our fencing fundraiser is complete, our fundraising is still on going for a lawn mower, benches and our big dream of a pavilion. We are a 501 (c)(3) organization, so all donations are tax deductible.

Thanks to all who attended the annual Board meeting last night! We had some great conversations, and exciting changes are in the works...stay tuned for updates!! As always, we appreciate everyone who uses the park (especially those who use the p**p bags!) and all the volunteers that keep the park open and running smoothly!!

We're always looking for more volunteers! The tasks are small when we can share them!! 😉

A big thanks to park user Emily Wendt for notifying us that the big dog exchange gate was literally off its hinges!!! She notified us via Facebook messenger, and Board Members Jeanna Connor and Adam Staff came out to get things realigned. If you see something out of place or in need of repair, let us know so we can get it taken care of! We love our park and do our best to keep it fully functional! And happy mother's day to all the mamma's, but especially the dog mamma's out there!

Our Vice President, Carol Burnham, had the honor of receiving this $3,500 donation earlier this week. A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Chetek Chamber of Commerce and all participating retailers for choosing us as the recipient of this year's Wine Walk proceeds!! These funds will be put to good use, allowing us to perform some much needed repairs to the park's supply shed as well as continuing to provide waste bags and trash service at the park, and other operating supplies. Again, thank you to the Chamber and all of the retailers and participants that made this amazing donation possible! Stay tuned for updates on our soon to be improved shed! ☺️

As a reminder, we are always looking for more volunteers to serve in our board, become an officer, or help out with park maintenance. If you're interested, shoot is a message!!
