I sent an email to all daycare clients this week but just in case you missed it...

Hey all,

We are technically open the rest of the week however, there will be no cancelation fees if you chose to cancel after hearing these caveats.....

1. There will be NO multi dog play groups. The ice is dangerous and I'm not risking injury for any pups.

2. Stockton Startt is a sheet of ice so please be sure your vehicle is adequate.

Think warm thoughts! Hopefully it melts off enough to be safe here soon.

Now that the saga is hopefully over, did you know the kennel has a constant temperature monitor so I can ensure your pups comfort and safety?

Last night, thanks to Waggle around 7 pm I got a temp alert that the temperature dropped below 50 degrees. The propane heater in the kennel is a beast. Typically I have to worry about it getting too warm not the other way around so something was obviously wrong. Despite my best efforts it would not restart so last night (and this morning) we had 24 dogs in my house. Thank goodness for crates and the best dogs!

Now, thanks to Alger Propane we are back up and functional. The kennel is slowly heating back up amd we can all move back to our appropriate kennels here soon.

If you do a lot of RV travel or leave your pets in a separate enclosed space for long lengths of time, you may want to consider Waggle. It's been a comfort knowing that I will be notified if something happens with the heat or air.
