Update on Nyx's profile: Nyx does not travel well, not even for short trips. She has to be crated and she goes to the toilet within minutes of getting in the car- she is terrified of car rides.

Nyx is a delicate and sensitive dog who is still learning to trust her surroundings. She can be timid and may cower in fear when approached too quickly, and she is still getting comfortable with direct eye contact. Le Château de Chien is the name we gave the 10 acre farm we purchased in 2014 to create a 501c3 nonprofit Dog Hospice for abused, handicapped and senior dogs. The entire home was renovated at that time.
The property consists of the home which is 5,000+ sq ft, a 2 story barn, a pole barn, silo, additional building gazebo and pond.
We are asking 1.1M. However, we would need to close on this house and lease back for approximately 3 months to find another property and move.
We have been actively emptying what we can from the house and barn
Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, a full bath, great room, recently fitted for a full size refrigerator and stove which opens to a balcony, and a meditation room. Downstairs in the entrance hall is another full bath. The first floor has a full kitchen with a travertine farmer’s sink, granite countertop, and an island with quartz countertop, the appliances include the refrigerator, a double dishwasher, built in microwave and refrigerator, all stainless steel. The sunroom has a wood stove. The separate great room has a wet bar. The master suite has a fireplace and a 2 part his and her master bath. One room has a jetted tub and vanity the other part has a walk in shower with toilet, and vanity. The sinks and shower are yellow onyx. In addition there is a laundry room with a dog shower and copper sink, room for 2 washers and two dryers, and granite countertops. All floors on the first floor are travertine and on the 2nd floor, wood. There are 2 separate water heaters, 2 air conditioners, 2 furnaces. There is also a whole house generator. The backyard of the home has 2 paver patios. One with a large pergola and the other with a fire pit, walls and lanterns. They are both linked with a deck. The upstairs was used as an Airbnb until 2 years ago with a 5 star rating the entire time.
We are at an age where we cannot maintain the property. We need something much smaller. We are selling the property AS IS. you can call 219-242-1036 to schedule a viewing, you must have paperwork stating you are qualified to buy. Please be aware that we are still operating the Sanctuary and there are dogs here.
Realtor’s may bring clients with paperwork showing they are qualified buyers. If a realtor brings us a client that closes on the property we will pay a 2% commission at closing. We are 50 minutes to Chicago and 10 minutes to the South Shore NICTD train which runs between Chicago and South Bend. My name is Téa and I am the transport coordinator at Gallup Mckinley County Humane Society in Gallup NM, we are in desperate need of transport for our animals, especially our dogs to find them homes. We have many mixed breed dogs and cats who are stray, abandoned, or surrendered by their owners. Our shelter is the only one for our county and we are incredibly small, because of the large amount of intakes we get on a daily basis we are forced to euthanize for space. We would love to give them the opportunity to find forever homes out of our shelter!

We can provide Tran, Vetting, Health Certificates, Vaccines, Cat/Dog Tests, Spay/Neuter, and other medical tests if needed.
