Join us tonight for K9-Splash from 5-7 p.m. You and your four-legged friend can join us for a paw-some pool day full of swimming with furry friends.

Eberwein Dog Park

The city of Chesterfield purchased this 18-acre site from the Eberwein family several years ago for the purposes of developing a community park. This park is named after the Eberwein family who first settled in Chesterfield over 100 years ago. The Eberwein family used this land as a farm and their residence up until the time of purchase by the city. To preserve the history, character, and charm of the site, the Eberwein Park was designed as a passive community park with a farm-like theme. To accomplish this, the existing large red barn, which was originally constructed in the early 1900s, has been preserved.

DOG PARK (MEMBERS ONLY) This 2-acre Dog Park offers pups the opportunity to explore the great outdoors, whether its running around with their friends or exploring the trees and bushes. There are separate areas for small and large dogs. The Dog Park is open to residents ONLY and each dog must wear their own dog park tag. Dog tags for each dog are $30 and are available at City Hall during normal business hours, please see the link above to print off the application in advance. To register your dog, you will need to have documentation that the dog has been spayed or neutered, proof of residency and rabies records for each dog. Dogs younger than four months are not allowed in the Dog Park.

NATIVE PRAIRIE GARDEN Eberwein Park has an interactive native prairie that provides quality habitat and food sources for local wildlife, especially our pollinators. The Chesterfield Parks, Recreation & Arts Department received a Community Stewardship Grant through the Missouri Department of Conservation to create the prairie that will also incorporate walking paths throughout, and provide opportunities for learning about the plants, animals, and insects that share our parks.

TRAIL Eberwein Park has a detailed map of a walking, biking and running trail route available for download.

BAT BOX Walking around the park, you may have seen the Bat Box installed on the east side of the barn at Eberwein Park. The Bat Box allow bats, sometimes hundreds, to sleep so that they are not exposed to the elements. The overall goal is to attract the bats so that they will feed on mosquitoes and other bugs. The Bat Box was created and installed by local Boy Scout Troops.
