It’s been a little while since I picked up my camera. These days I mostly shoot for fun or close friends, but every now and then, the timing aligns and I get the chance to do a session that reminds me why I ever started.
This one was a celebration of life. He was the sweetest boy, and this family loved him deeply. You could feel it in every glance, every touch, every quiet moment.
I left the session thinking about them all day. About how lucky we are to be loved by animals, and how saying goodbye, while incredibly painful, is a sign of just how much that love mattered.
We will all eventually lose our pets. But I believe with my whole heart that the love is always worth it. And maybe, if we talked about it more, and honored their lives a little more openly, we’d feel a little more brave to love again.
Pets are family. Always. 🐾❤️
