I'm Retiring!

After nineteen and a half years of living vicariously through you every time I asked, "where are you headed", I am going to get the chance to relax and enjoy my (new to me) home in Florida and travel too.

It makes me very happy to tell you that Chesterfield Kennels will remain a kennel for you and your dogs. The new owners, Chris and Jennifer have said, "they will do what I do, they do not want to lose my customer base".

The business telephone number, 609-723-4323, will remain the same as it is today. THIS IS A LANDLINE NUMBER, SO NO TEXTING IS AVAILABLE.

Leslie, who many of you already know, will stay on which will offer familiarity for the dogs too.

Chris, will run the kennel. His wife, Jennifer, is a groomer at another kennel not far from here. She plans to stay at that kennel to continue grooming clientele that she has known for 23 years.

It has been an honor and privilege to care for your pups and to get to know each of you and your family too. The closing date is 12/1/2025 so I may see some of you before I officially depart.

Thank you for your loyalty and I will miss you and and the dogs more than I can every say.

FYI, the Kennel will be closed for inside Maintenance MONDAY 3/21-FRIDAY, 3/25.

No doubt the purpose of your upcoming vacation is to get away, relax and enjoy yourself. Our goal is to provide a superior level of care so that you have no worries about your canine companion while you're away.

Do you have two dogs who will be staying with us? Let us know beforehand if you would like them to share space or be boarded separately. We will gladly accommodate your request.

When picking up your dog at the end of its stay, take a moment and talk with the staff about the visit. They will let you know how the stay went as well as bring your attention to anything that happened or behavior they did not understand.

As soon as you know you will need to board your dog with us, call and reserve space. Kennels have peak seasons and we want to make sure we have a place for your dog.

Thanks to social media, negative business reviews these days have far-reaching effects that can seriously affect businesses. As such, it would be wise for an owner to make sure that all the people working for their kennel know their jobs and have a passion not just for dogs, but also for customer service.

If your dog will be boarding with us, and it has fleas, we will bathe and treat him or her. Not only is it good for your pet, it keeps these pests from spreading to the pets staying with us.
