🐾 SIGNS OF HEAT STRESS IN PETS ☀️

Heat stress can become life-threatening very quickly. If you notice any of the following signs, when out in the hot weather seek emergency veterinary care immediately:

• Anxious behavior
• Excessive panting
• Restlessness
• Excessive drooling
• Unsteadiness or difficulty walking
• Abnormal gum or tongue color (pale, bright red, or blue)
• Collapse

⚠️ Important: Pets can overheat faster than you think—especially in hot, humid weather. Never leave pets in a parked car and always provide fresh water and shade.

Meet Harley, an 18-year-old cat who we love very much. Back in September, Harley came in because he was on his deck and came back inside with wounds on his leg. We suspect Harley got attacked by a HAWK! 😿
