Zero gatekeeping—quick wins every VA dog parent should know:

✅ Brushing (by coat):
• Short coat: 2–3×/week
• Long/doodle: daily with a slicker + metal comb
• Double coat (husky, GSD): 3–4×/week with an undercoat rake

✅ Nails: If you hear click-click on floors, they’re too long—aim every 2–3 weeks.
✅ Ears: After baths/swims, dry well; redness or odor = time for a check.
✅ Teeth: 30 sec/day or 3×/week with dental wipes beats doing nothing.
✅ Mat Prevention: Light detangler, not water. Start at the ends, then work toward the skin.
✅ Shed Season: Spring & fall—pre-book every 4–6 weeks to stay ahead.
