YOU can help lost pets reunite with their owners by hosting a permanent Microchip Scanning Station at your location - and Kern County Animal Services pays for the whole thing!

We're looking to place these small scanning stations throughout the county to make reunifications quicker and easier for our community’s pets and their families.

These stations take up virtually no space, but the impact they can make is huge!

PLEASE CHOOSE LOCAL OPEN ADMISSION ANIMAL SHELTERS FOR ADOPTION!!!! Bingo, Popa Dot, Conan, Alligator, Hemi, Ace, and Rosette are COUNTING ON YOU!!! These incredible homeless dogs will be going live on Facebook tomorrow, Wednesday August 6th, at 1PM! We hope you will tune in to meet them virtually and help to share their story so that they can get adopted by Sunday 8/17!

At this moment, we are caring for more than 20 dogs who have lived in a kennel for over 4 months. A life behind bars is unfair for dogs with so much love to give. As more dogs continue to pour in, we must create space for lost and homeless dogs in need.

Without YOUR help over the next 2 weeks, we will be faced with having to euthanize dogs for space/time. This is our worst nightmare and is something that we have narrowly avoided all year while combating overcrowding.

We have identified 7 dogs in our shelter population who have lived in a kennel the longest and who are most at risk due to this crisis for space. The 7 dogs included in this post need placement by Sunday 8/17 or euthanasia will be necessary so that we can continue to help more lost and homeless dogs in our community.

We have extended our adoption hours for the next 2 weeks to help these dogs and other dogs under our care to find homes. NOW is the time to adopt a local homeless dog in need!
