I want to tell you about our friend Knightley. Knightley had one of the most gentle souls that you will ever meet. He had a zest for walks, sticks, and he loved his red blanket. He would greet you at the door and act like he hadn't seen you forever when it had just been the day before. Knightley had a routine when he was younger of dancing circles when he was excited. He would dance so much that you got dizzy watching him, and you just knew that was his way of letting you know how much he enjoyed your company. We would take long walks, and when he wasn't ready to turn back, he would put the brakes on and give you that look. Once you got that look, you knew you were in for a little bit longer of a walk. You couldn't say no when he looked at you like that. He would pick up a stick, and it didn't matter what size it was. He would carry it, and you would have to move off the path when people were coming towards you so he wouldn't hit them with it, and they would be laughing watching him carry that stick so proudly. He loved greeting everybody he met along the walks. Knightley never met a stranger. When we would get back from our walks, he would get a drink of water and grab his blankie and cuddle up on the couch for snuggles. We were always late leaving his house because we just couldn't pull ourselves away from his magnetic soul. His happy dances and his smiles and his kisses! He made you feel like you were the only person in the world. We are all going to miss this boy, but we are so grateful that we had the opportunity to be a part of this special boy's journey. It's never a goodbye. We will see you later, SK.
