Route 66 Fetch & Stretch Dog Park

The damaged trash cans have been replaced. The new cans cost $780. That $780 came from the dog park fund, NOT the city's funds. $780 is the equivalent of 3 trees that we will no longer be able to add to the dog park because we spent it on trash cans.

The Fido statue that was vandalized is at a foundry being repaired. Estimated cost to repair it is $1,200. Another needless expense because someone was a jerk and broke property that they didn't fund or respect.

Donations fund this park. Please treat the generosity of the people who donate their hard earned money with the respect they deserve by taking care of the property and not causing damage.

THANK YOU to whomever donated the dog waste bags and left them in the Pupbrary.

To the person who left their trash in the Pupbrary, do better.

We added 2 more benches to the dog park today. Each tree now has a place to sit under.

We also installed a Pupbrary (library) on both small and large dog side.

Please feel free to leave donated waste bags or appropriate dog park items in the Pupbrary!

As always, these 2 men are amazing! They installed additional seating at the dog park today! 2 benches on the large side and 1 on the small side. We will be installing 2 more when additional funds become available in fall.

We have decided to do one LAST CALL for feature bricks. Price is $120 per brick (cash, check or Venmo). Bricks will be placed in the remaining 20 spots on the feature pad. First come, first serve ($ turned in).

Gauging interest. There have been some requests for another brick order. There is enough room on the existing concrete to add 20 more bricks.

IF we have enough interest, we would be open to ordering more bricks. We need a minimum of 10 bricks with a maximum of 20 for the order. First.come, first serve (cash in hand).

We did it! Go team!!! The goal was to finish the dog park feature before the Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor on May 3rd & 4th. What an amazing job by Manny and Louis!!!
