NEW dogs at the shelter as of 4/26/25. Each week, new dogs are posted in a NEW weekly album. These pics won't be deleted when the dog is no longer there, the pic will be updated. ****PLEASE READ!**** THIS PAGE IS RUN BY VOLUNTEERS. If you are interested in one of these dogs, the best option is to go to the shelter...you can also call but they are not usually near the phone during the day.

These dogs were at the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter as of the date of this album. Some are available now, some may still be on hold and available soon, some may be "rescue only" due to their young age, some may have owners who will be coming to claim them, some may not be available due to pending animal cruelty charges, etc. This is a public shelter that takes in many animals each week, consider them all urgent.

**7:00a-4:00p, Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri (closed Wed & Sun)
**10:00-2:00 Saturday

**Adoptions & walk through meet/greets: 10:00a-2:00p Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri & Sat

Adoption fees (includes spay/neuter):

It was transport day for these 8 lucky pups! Hyde, the black/grey pup was from Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter - OPAS, and the litter of 7 is from Delhi Canine Rescue!

it’s transport day! Momma Miele, her seven pups (Kenmore, Maytag, Bosch, Amana, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and Kitchenaid) and Mabel the English Bulldog mix punched their ticket to Freedom today! Acadiana Animal Aid bound! Fosters made this happen! without fosters, there is no transport. Thank you to our wonderful fosters for saving these lives today.

38 dogs and puppies head down to Acadiana Animal Aid tomorrow! Whew…2 nursing moms of large litters, several other litters of puppies and a few adults. We could not do this without our foster homes! Even through several fosters being sick this week, we’ve made it work!

Say hello to the Chef 8! These babies found themselves at a high kill shelter. The shelter reached out to us to help, and thankfully found some willing fosters! These babies will head south with us on Thursday to Acadiana Animal Aid! Happy Tails!
