Here are two more opportunities for your dogs to have the most fun with a plastic bag. Weather permitting, Wylde Pups will host lure coursing on Sunday, July 12 from 9 am – noon and on Saturday, July 25 from 9 am – noon. Hopefully we’ll beat the heat and afternoon thunderstorms. Links to the sign up sheets are below.

Our location is the home of Lori Hill and Carolyn Chow, 438 Lake Rd., Dryden NY 13053. There is plenty of parking along their driveway, however there is no shade nor rest room facilities. The field is unfenced, though not close to a busy road. For dogs who are a flight risk but who want to try lure coursing anyway, we can attach a long line to make them easier to catch. Bring shade for you and your dog and plenty of water. Warm your dog up before each run and cool your dog down after. And clean up after your dog. Thanks.

Dogs will be run one at a time. All dogs must be crated (this is preferred), in your car, or leashed SECURELY (Hang on Tight!) except when running. We prefer that dogs not be dog reactive and they MUST NOT be people aggressive. If your dog is dog reactive, please keep the dog in your car until it is safe to let them out. I will have people put their dogs in their cars so that your dog can safely enjoy chasing the plastic bunny. This is a highly arousing sport for many dogs so be prepared to discover that your mild-mannered dog becomes a barking maniac when the lure starts up! Be mindful of your dog and its proximity to other dogs and people. An aroused dog can redirect its arousal to another dog or to a person. Keep your distance. Stay alert, maintain control, and stay safe. Please Note: Prong, Electronic and Training (choke) collars are not allowed.

Finally, here are the links to the sign-up sheets to reserve your time slot. So that many dogs can participate, please sign up for no more than two time slots per dog per event. In case I need to cancel the event, please enter your full name so I know who you are and be sure I have your cell phone number and your email so I can contact everyone. With the weather patterns in this area, who knows what the weather will be like? I’m hoping for sunny!

I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. And if you or your dog are new to lure coursing, let me know and I will tailor the run to your dog’s ability.

Welcome to the 2026 Wylde Pups Lure Coursing first event of the season.

I know this is short notice, however sometimes the stars align with the weather and the availability of the location and the ability to mow the field plus it’s not raining, etc. All of those factors have come together to allow us to set up lure coursing for all dogs on Sunday, May 3, 2026, 12n – 3 pm.
