With the holiday coming this weekend, tonight is a great time to check your stock of meds and call or text our team if you need to request refills! 🐾

Friendly reminder that holiday is likely to impact some shipping and delivery times too if you are ordering medications online.

We will have regular hours both this Friday, July 3rd & Monday, July 6th (7am-5pm). Our hospital will be CLOSED this Saturday, July 4th for the holiday. 💥

The heat coming this week is no joke!
It is critically important to remember our furry family members need extra consideration this week to keep them safe and healthy.

*Free access to clean water 24/7
*NEVER leave an animal in a parked car even with the windows down the heat this week could send towards heat stroke within a few minutes.
*Flat faced animals (all types of Bulldogs, Boxers, Pugs, Shih Tzus, and Persian cats- and many more) are more susceptible to heat stroke since they can not pant as effectively. The same goes for elderly, overweight, and pets with heart or lung issues also. A/C, if available, is recommended.
*Paw pads can be burned on hot surfaces so keep walks to a minimum or during cooler hours of the day.

🐾 Help us give a big Chelsea welcome to Dr. David Letteer!

Dr. David Letteer, grew up in Brighton, Michigan, where his love for animals first began. He has been caring for Michigan’s pets since he started working in clinics and wildlife rehab at age 19, eventually earning his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, focused on tissue engineering, from Wayne State University in 2014 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2019. Prior to moving to the area, he spent five years caring for the community’s pets as a veterinarian in Westland.

Dr. Letteer’s primary goal is to help pets and their families thrive together. He believes in a practical, empathetic approach to medicine, working closely with owners to find the best treatment options for their unique situations and focusing his day on diagnostic care and dentistry. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Letteer lives in Chelsea with his wife, Christina, and their busy family of three dogs and two cats. When they aren’t managing their full house, he and Christina love playing volleyball and regularly compete in leagues over in Ann Arbor.

In honor of Memorial Day, our hospital will be closed on Monday, May 25th as we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

We will reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th. If your pet experiences an emergency while we are closed, please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

They’re the friendly faces that greet you at the door, the calm and caring voices on the phone, and the behind-the-scenes superheroes keeping our busy days running smoothly. From juggling schedules to comforting worried pet parents (and sneaking in a few extra treats for patients 🐾), they truly do it all and they make it look easy!

🐾 Meet Dr. Joshua Wood!

Originally from Owosso, Michigan, Dr. Wood earned his B.S. in Animal Science from Michigan State University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Midwestern University in Arizona. After veterinary school, he returned to Michigan to care for the pets and families in his home state.

Dr. Wood has special interests in primary care, dermatology, and exotic animal medicine, and he has been proudly serving patients since 2022.

Outside the clinic, he enjoys jiu-jitsu, collecting books, watching Jeopardy, and summer beekeeping. He and his wife share their home with their son and their Rottweiler, Gus.

🐶 We’re excited to have Dr. Wood join our team!
